Social Media Challenge | Water vs Water and a key monster to be the judge! 😉

image.png

This week I brought a Wild Ranked battle, where I will play against the same Splinter I have picked, but my opponent made a different lineup than me, so it will be interesting to see who prevails. 🤞

Hope you will enjoy the battle like I did! 😇

RulesetDescription
Might Makes RightYou can only summon units with 3 or more Ranged, Magic or Melee power.
Weak MagicMagic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health.

The mana cap was 45, which is more than enough for my needs and it will allow me to pick few high mana cost key monsters to build a solid team.

The Might Makes Right is a quite new ruleset, which means that me and my opponent wouldn't be able to pick monsters with less than three Magic, Ranged or Melee attack.

The Weak Magic will reduce the power of the Magic attack monsters a bit, because they can not ignore the enemy Armors than what they are usually do, so they will be similar than a simple Ranged attack monster. 🤓

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
Pembrook Nymph

image.png

The Pembrook Nymph cost 6 mana, which means that she is expensive, but her ability is to give +1 Health to all of her frendly monsters, which is also not that strong. On the otherhand her last ability to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle is amazing, which could be a huge advantage over my opponent if I pick that carefully. 💪

Main Tank
Commander Slade
image.png

Commander Slade was a very obvious choice as my main tank, because he has quite a lot of Melee attack and amazing Speed with loads of Armor and Health. He might be able to soak up quite a lot of incoming damage and that is why he cost exactly 10 mana. 😊

The Sneaker
Pelacor Bandit
image.png

The Pelacor Bandit is a very nice budget monster who doesn't cost a lot of mana, but offers great Melee attack damage with very high Speed. His most important feature other than these is his Sneak attack, which means that he will always target the last monster from the enemy team. 😋

The Gladiator
Isgald Vorst
image.png

Isgald Vorst will be my key Gladiator monster in this battle and that is why I brought Pembrook Nymph as a Summoner. He is a Melee attack monster and he has the Opportunity ability, which means that he will be able to attack the lowest Health monster from the enemy team and on top of that if he manages to kill them he will increase his own stat by one using his Bloodlust ability. 😌

Giant Killer with some Repair
Swamp Spitter
image.png

The Swamp Spitter is an excellent monster for this battle, because even though he has +3 Ranged attack damage, which works nicely with his Giant Killer ability is pretty strong. This means if my opponent brings a monster who cost more than 10 mana he will deal double damage against it. He also has the Repair ability as well, which will allow him to repair two Armor piece on a friendly monster who recently lost some of his armor. 👍

Close Ranger Damage Dealer
Gargoya Devil
image.png

The Gargoya Devil is one of my Ranged damage dealer who is able to Fly, which means that he would have +25% evade against the enemy attacks unless they are Flying as well. He also has the Close Range ability, which is nice to be able to attack from the first position and the Deathblow ability will allow him to deal double damage if he attacks a monster who is the last one left on the battlefield. 😇

Ranger Damage Dealer with Stealth
Gobson Bomber
image.png

The Gobson Bomber also has +3 Ranged attack like my other monsters, which is quite good, but more importantly he has the Recharge ability, which means that he will be able to deal triple of his damage, but only every other round. His Piercing ability helps him to deal excess damage against the enemy Armors and the Camouflage ability will hide him at the back of my backline. 🤗

My opponent brought Kelya Frendul who is also a Water Splinter like mine, but he cost only four mana and provides +1 Health and Speed to all of his friendly monsters. 😒

In the first round my team was able to kill the first monster in this battle, which was their tank and luckily the killer was my Isgald Vorst who was able to activate his Bloodlust ability and increase all of his stats by one.

The second round started with the ability of my opponent Shock Trooper, which 'shocked' all of his monsters damaging one to them. 😮

Soon after sadly I have lost my Commander Slade as my tank and my Isgald was quick to kill another monster from their backline and further boost himself up.

My Swamp Spitter almost managed to kill their Slade as well, but somehow he missed and even my Gargoya missed their attacks! 😒

On the contrary they have killed my Pelacor Bandit in the beginning of the third round and luckily my Isgald was quick enough to hit him and again increase his stats. 😅

Their new tank the Giant Alpine Skink had the Shield ability, so he was able to halves all the incoming attacks, but luckily my team was able to kill him in the fourth round.

The fifth round started with my Isgald attack, because he was able to increase his stats so high that he was the quickest and strongest monster on the board and it was pretty easy for him to finish off the last two monster in the enemy team and won the battle single handedly for me. 😇
