Social Media Challenge | Slowest is the strongest? 🤪

Overview

Today I brought a Ranked battle, where I got an interesting ruleset, which I like a lot, because many times my opponents didn't pay enough attention to it and they bring their usual monsters. 😊

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

RulesetDescription
Lost MagicMonsters with Magic attack may not be used in battles.
EqualiserThe initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
Reverse SpeedMonsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.

The mana cap for my next battle is 35, which is not that much as a like, but for my strategy in mind hopefully it will be enough. The Lost Magic ruleset is also quite good, because I can take advantage of the Armors on my monsters as all the Magic attack monsters will be banned from this battle. 😇

The Equaliser ruleset will increase the Health of all the monsters on the battlefield to match the highest one, so even a low budget low Health monster would be able to sustain quite a lot of damge.

The Reverse Speed ruleset is one of the best out of the three especially, because I always like to take advantage of that and use low Speed monsters. They will be quicker and harder to hit, which opens a whole new strategy into this battle. 😉

Tarsa cost only four mana and her special ability is to increase the Health and Melee attack of her friendly monsters by one, which makes her an excellent choice for the Lost Magic ruleset. 😁
I almost ran out of the mana, so I had to use a cheap monster as my tank and the Equalizer helped him to get a lot of Health. My chosen tank was the Radiated Scorcher who cost only one mana and he is able to attack for two Melee attack damage thanks to Tarsa. 😆

The Ferox Defender is an excellent off tank for this game even though he is a bit pricey with his 8 mana cost, but in exchange he has quite a lot of Health and Armor and luckily his Speed is really low, which will help him a lot to take as much as damage possible and start all the rounds early. He also has the Protect ability, which will give +2 Armor to all of his friendly monsters as long as he is alive. 💪
Usually the Sand Worm is not so competitive as a Sneak attack monster, because his Speed is only one and makes him to hit his enemies quite difficult. Luckily the Reverse Speed ruleset turns that from a weakness to his strength and combined with his Sneak attack he will be pretty dangerous to my opponent backline. 🤗

The Tenii Striker is another Sneak attack monster in my lineup, because I will try to focus the enemy backline instead of their tank. He has quite a good amoung of Melee attack damage, but his Speed is a bit weak under these rulesets, but still worth to play him for only five mana. 😌
The Uraeus is an amazing monster with huge attack damage for only three mana and even Tarsa manages to increase his stats by one. The Sneak attack on him is also very good, because he will target the last monster from the enemy team, which should be generally the weakest. 😝

The Firecaller is a very special monster, because first of all she is a damage dealer and she is a very good one and also has the Martyr ability, which means if she dies she will increase all the stats of her adjacent monsters by one. 😎

My opponent brought Lobb Lowland who is an Earth Summoner and he will decrease the Speed of all of the enemy monsters, which is mine. He also has the ability to bring an additional Gladiator monster, which is always good esepcially in a Ranked game where they are banned completely. 😊

Luckily my Sand Worm has the lowest available Speed, so he attacked first and dealt six damage to their Clockwork Aide. Even though my Scorcher has only two damage he used his Shatter ability to confiscate all the remaining Armor of his target. Just before the first round finished the enemy monsters managed to kill my Scorcher and luckily their Katrelba missed both of her attacks against my Firecaller thanks to their Speed difference. 😉

At the beginning of the second round my Sand Worm finished his job killing their Aide and their Katrelba performed better and dealt three damage twice to my Firecaller, so in the next round she was in a huge danger of dying.

In the third round my Worm killed their Ava as well thanks to his Speed and huge Melee attack damage and I also lost my Ferox Defender and all the Armor that he provided. Just before the round finished their Katrelba killed my Firecaller and she was able to increase all of her stats by one using her Bloodlust ability, but at least my Uraues got some increase as well from the Martyr ability of the dying Firecaller.

In the beginning of the fourth round my Sand Worm managed to kill their tank and my Striker also killed their last monster.

Thanks to the Speed difference my Sneak attack monsters were slower, which means quicker in the Reverse Speed ruleset and they killed their Katrelba just before she will finish them off and only their Fungus left on the battlefield, which was an easy target for my Sand Worm and such they won the battle for me. 🤗

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to take advantage of the slowest Sneak attack monsters in the game and try to kill my opponent monsters from backwards. The Reverse Speed ruleset helped me and my Sandworm a lot to deal huge amount of damage before the enemy monsters. 😁
