Social Media Challenge | Ranged or Magic? Lucky guess what my opponent will bring! 🍀
This week I brought a Wild Ranked battle where the rulesets will effectively eliminate all the Melee attack mosnters, so I had to pick a different approach when I was assembling my team. On top of that my opponent brought the strongest Summoner in this kind of ruleset, so it will be interesting to see how the battle will be. 😇

Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Tis but Scratches | All units have the Cripple ability. |
Keep Your Distance | You can not summon units with Melee attacks. |
The mana cap was 36, which is not that much, but "thanks" to the Keep Your Distance ruleset all the Melee attack monsters will be banned, so I can spend this little mana only on Magic and Ranged attack monsters ... or non attack ones? 😁
The Tis but Scratches ruleset doesn't really change much on the gameplay, because it means that all the monsters will get the Cripple ability, which means that all the monsters on the battlefield will remove one maximum Health from their targets if they attack them. 😇
Helios Matriarch

The Helios Matriarch is an excellent choice for this battle, because I will use an amazing Dragon as my tank. She gives +1 Speed to all of her monsters and on top of that she will be able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into her battle. 😇
Voidmaw

The Voidmaw aka Void Dragon will be my tank for this battle and that is why I brought the Helios Matriarch. This Dragon has huge amount of Speed and the Flying ability to evade and dodge all the incoming Ranged attacks and his Void ability is just too good not use him against the Magic attack monsters, because he will halves all the Magic attacks targeting him. 😁
Nimbledok Explorer

The Nimbledook Explorer cost only four mana and the main reason I brought him is his Protect ability, which will give +2 Armor to all of his friendly monsters as long as he is alive. 😆
Aves Sturgis

Aves Sturgis is a Magic attack monster and sadly his attack was reduced by the enemy Silence ability, but he is still able to give his attack to his adjacent non-attack monster. He also has the Divine Shield ability, so he will block one incoming attack entirely. 😋
Helmet Kharafax

Helmet Kharafax doesn't have any attack on its own, but he was lucky to have amazing friends next to him who provided him even two different kind of attacks. He also a Gladiator monster and with these attacks he might be able to increase his stats by one if he manages to kill his target. The Void ability will also protect him against the enemy Magic attacks quite well if it comes to that. 😉
Berix Snakeye

Berix Snakeye cost a whooping amount of 10 mana, but he is well worth its mana tag, because he also has the Weapons Trainer ability like my Aves, but instead he gives +3 Ranged attack to the non-attack monsters next to him, which is pretty OP if you ask me. His Void Armor will protect him against Magic attacks as well, so they can not ignore his Armor as they would normally do. 🤗
Scavo Hireling

The Scavo Hireling cost only three mana, because he is a non-attack monster and such his stats are quite weak as well. His only one ability is the Repair, which means that he will restore some of the Armor on one of his friendly monster who lost the most amount of Armor. 😎

My opponent brought the Obsidian who is an Earth Summoner and her power is to give +1 Magic attack to her team. In the Keep Your Distance ruleset her power is extremely powerful, because their will be a huge chance that my opponent will bring a full Magic attack lineup. 😜
In the first round all of my monsters had to attack their Mycelic Slipspawn, because she had the Taunt ability and luckily my team had enough damage to kill her stright in the first round. Soon after I also lost my Voidmaw, which was not that good, because his Void ability was soaking up quite a lot of damage and the enemy monsters had just much of that! 😅
In the beginning of the second round I have lost my Nimblebook Explorer as well and I was lucky to manage to hit and kill their Regal Peryton, because he had quite a lot of Speed and the ability to Fly, which makes him to be able evade the Ranged attacks.
It was head to head until this point of the battle, but the round was not just finished yet and I lost my Aves Sturgis before the end of the second round.
My team had a bit of disadvantage starting the third round, but at least my team killed their Blackmoore Wildelf and Mad Kaboomist quickly, before they were able to deal damage. Thsi was purely because my team was quicker, which meant a lot at this point. 😇
The Svavenger ability on my Kharafax was amazing and he became my new tank with quite a lot of Health and managed to survive this round against their six damage easily.
In the next round my team killed their Mushroom Seer and their Wood Nymph couldn't do much alone aginst my three remaining monster and they won this battle for me! 😊
