Social Media Challenge | Magic vs Melee with the help of a Gladiator monster! 😊

The mana cap was 40, which is enough to bring few key monster or to build a lineup around it. The Broken Arrows ruleset will eliminate all the Ranged attack monsters from this battle, so I have to decide whether to build a mostly Magic or Melee attack team. 😁

The What Doesn't Kill You ruleset is quite handy for any monster, because it means that all the monsters will receive the Enrage ability, which means their stats will be increased by 50% if they are damaged.

The Tis but Scratches ruleset will give the Cripple ability to the monsters on the battlefield and they will be able to reduce the maximum Health of their target by one with each of their attack. 😉

Lobb Lowland is an amazing Summoner, because he has the ability to bring an additional Gladiator monster into the battle and also be able to decrease the Speed of his enemy monsters. 😋

The Pelacor Mercenary is an excellent all around tank, because he has nice Speed and damage with good amount of Health and the ability to Heal himself, but sadly he has a small weakness not having any defensive abilities to protect himself against his enemies. 😊

Thane Newsong is a non-attack monster, which is a shame, but at least he has quite a lot of Health and the ability to increase the Melee attacks on my monsters by one using his Inspire ability. He also has the Fortify ability, which will provide an extra Health as well to everyone in his team as long as he is alive. 😇

I used the Mycelic Slipspawn and his Taunt ability to divert most of the enemy damage into him allowing enough time for my Pelacor Mercenary to live longer and to soak more damage. The Taunt ability will force the enemy monsters (except their tank and monster with the Reach ability) to attack him. 😋

Like I said Katrelba Gobson will be my key monster in this battle, because she has the Sneak ability, so she will attack the last monster from the enemy team and she will do that vigorously with her Double Strike ability attacking twice in each round. She also has the Bloodlust ability, so if she manages to kill her target she will increase all of her stats by one. 😌

The Venari Scout is an extra help for my Katrelba if she would need any help, because the Scout has the Opportunity ability, which means that he will always target the lowest Health monsters from the enemy team. 🤗

The Clockwork Aide is also a monster without any attack on its own, so I will use him solely because of his abilities. He has the Swiftness ability, which means that he will increase the speed of all of his frendly monsters by one and the Rust, which will decrease the enemy Armors by two until he is alive. 😊

My opponent brought the Obsidian whom cost only 4 mana, which is quite good for this battle and she has the ability to increase the Magic attack of her monsters by one. 🤫

My opponent also picked the Mycelic Slipspawn as his tank with the Taunt ability, so in the first round all of my monsters started to attack him and because my team was much quicker they managed to kill him before he could do anything. I also lost my Slipspawn, but only at the end of the round, which is always a good sign.

The Enrage on my Pelacor Mercenary helped him a lot to attack first and damage an enourmous six damage against their tank, which easily killed him in the beginning of the second round. My Katrelba attacked twice as she supposed to be and killed their Magi of Chaos easily. I also lost my tank at the end of the second round against the enemy Magic attacks, but luckily they are much slower than my team.

In the third round Katrelba managed to kill two of their backline monster and she increased all of her own stat by two. I have lost my new tank replacement Thane, but that gave enough time for my Katrelba to take advantage of her higher stats and to be able to kill their only one monster left within their team and secure the victory for my team. 😌
