Social Media Challenge | It was head to head till the end! 😉

This week I brought a Ranked battle, which will be difficult to play, because their will be no rulesets at all to modify the battlefield. That is quite rare, so it will be interesting to see how the both teams will prepare for against each other. 😁

RulesetDescription
StandardNo change to standard gameplay rules or mechanincs.

The mana cap was 22, which is not that much, so I had to plan carefully what to bring. Some of the non-attack monsters are quite cheap, but they can not attack, so it is a good idea to bring one or more monsters with the Weapons Trainer ability, because they will give their own attack to the non-attack monsters next to them, which might work. 😉

Their are four Splinter available to choose from and many times it is worth to use the Dragon Splinter to mix their monsters with another Splinter, but in my case I will pick the Life one, because I prefer a bit more protection for my monsters. 😇

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
Franz Ruffmane

image.png

My plan was to use Franz Ruffmane as my Summoner, becasuse he gives +1 Armor to his monsters therefore they will be able to block one incoming Melee or Ranged attack. He is also one of the highest levelled Summoner that I have, which made my choice picking him more easier. He is also able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle, which is always a nice addition to any team. 😊

Main Tank
Pelacor Conjurer
image.png

Usually the Pelacor Conjurer is not the strongest monster within the Life Splinter and he also doesn't have any attack, but many times his high Speed and his Flying ability means a lot to dodge the enemy Melee and Ranged attacks. Luckily in this battle he will get +2 Magic attack from his friend behind him, so for only two mana he evolves to a perfect tank. 😆

Weapons Trainer
Aves Sturgis
image.png

Aves Sturges doesn't have too much stats apart from his +2 Magic attack, but he has the Weapon Trainings ability, which will give his own Magic attack to his adjacent non-attack monsters making them damage dealers, which is truly amazing. 😋

The Trainee
Helmet Kharafax
image.png

Helmet Kharafax doesn't have any kind of attack on its own, that is why he has such a good passive abilities plus with the power of Aves he would be able to attack and try to take advantage of his Bloodlust ability, which means if he kills his target he will increase all of his stat by one. 😌

The Healer
Venari Crystalsmith
image.png

The Venari Crystalsmith is one of my favorite Life monster, because she cost only four mana and has +2 Ranged attack damage, which is pretty good. Her most important feature is her Tank Heal ability, which means that she will be able to Heal the monster in the first position. 😁

The Opportunist
Celestial Harpy
image.png

The Celestial Harpy stats wise is super weak that is why she cost only two mana, but at least she is able to use her Opportunity ability to attack the lowest Health monster from the enemy team with her +1 Melee attack. She is also able to Fly, which wil lgave her +25% chance to evade the incoming physical attacks. 😎

The Backline Protector
Soul Spawn
image.png

The Soul Spawn cost zero mana and that is why it is so easy to use him in any battles. Even though he is 'free' to play he has +1 Melee attack damage, but he can not attack from the back of my lineup. The reason that I used him there is to protect my lineup against the enemy Sneak or Opportunity attacks. 😆

My opponent brought Helios Matriarch who is a Dragon Summoner and such she is able to mix any Splinter with the Dragon monsters, which means that he will have larger monster pool than me. She also has the power to increase the Speed of all of her monsters by one and on top of that she is also able to bring an additional Gladiator monster into this battle. 😱

THe first round started amazing, because my team was able to kill their tank first and almost their off-tank as well, but my Celestial Harpy just missed the lethal blow. Still my Pelacor was able to survive the first round thanks to the help of my Crystalsmith who healed him up right before he would have die. 😁

In the second round we killed their off-tank and sadly we lost our tank as well. Luckily my Kharafax killed their Marksrat and managed to activate his Bloodlust ability to increase his own stats by one. Their Kharafax benefited of the plus one boost from their *Marksrat *as well, but he fell into the first position, so he would start taking damage.

In the beginning of the third round their Kharafax killed my Aves, which further boosted him up, but I have high hopes for my Venari Crystalsmith to try to keep my Kharafax alive. 🤞

It was a very dangeroud situation, because the enemy monsters had more damage than my team and they were damaging my tank much quicker than my team their tank. Luckily my Celestial Harpy killed their Aves Sturgis behind their Kharafax and that reduced the incoming damage by two and my Crystalsmith managed to recover the Health of my Kharafax back to normal.

Their was a point when my Kharafax had only one Health, so it was a very risky situation, but my Crystalsmith and Harpy saved the day and won the battle for me. 😊

These small mana limit matches are always fun to play, like the one shared here with a 22 mana limit. Thanks for sharing and analysing the battle. keep playing and growing.
