Social Media Challenge | How to turn the tide to my favor! 😊

This week I brought a Wild Ranked battle, where I will battle a pretty strong lineup, so it will be interesting to see who is going to prevail over each other. 😁

RulesetDescription
Briar PatchAll Monsters have the Thorns ability.
Week MagicMagic attacks hit Armor before reducing Health.

The mana cap was 52, which is excellent, because I can bring any kind of monster in my lineup and be able to use any kind of strategy as well. Almost all the other Splinters will be available and only the Fire Splinter will be banned, so it is much easier to choose a Splinter excepet the Fire one. 😆

The first ruleset is going to be the Briar Patch, which means that all the monsters will have the Thorns ability, so they are going to reflect some of the Melee attack back to their attackers. 😉

The second ruleset will be the Weak Magic, which will reduce the strength of the Magic attcks, because they can not ignore the enemy Armors anymore, so they will hit the enemy Armors as well just like the Melee and Ranged attacks. 😇

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
Pembrook Nymph

image.png

The Pembrook Nymph is a Water Summoner, which is one of my favorite, because they have quite a lot of versatile monsters. She cost exactly six mana, which is not that cheap, but she gives +1 Health to all of her monsters and on top of that she will be able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle, which are one of the most powerful monsters if they are able to start killing their target. 😊

Main Tank
Diemonshark
image.png

The Diemonshark is an absolute beast in any kind of battle (except in few crazy rulesets of course) and even in this one he will damage himself by attacking his target, because of their Thorns ability. Anyway I brought him, because he has very good attack damage, high Health and huge amount of Armor (*which will work perfectly against the enemy Magic attacks as well) combined with great Speed. All of these will make him an excellent tank overal hence his cost is a bit high, but the high mana cap helped me a lot to include him into my lineup. 😉

My Second Tank
Djinn Oshannus
image.png

The Djinn Oshannus cost 8 mana, so he is not cheap, but he is an all time favorite thanks to his amazing protective abilities.

VoidReduced damage from Magic attacks
PhaseMagic attack can miss this Monster, which will use the same hit/miss calculation as for Melee and Ranged attacks
ForcefieldThis Monster takes only 1 damage from attacks with power 5+

These abilities and his huge amount of Speed and Health will makes him the perfect off-tank for any battle in case my main tank would die. He also has decent Magic attack damage, but the Weak Magic ruleset will make him to attack the enemy Armors, which is kinda bad, but hopefully my monsters behind him will do their magic. 😅

The Weapon Trainee
Noa the Just
image.png

Noa the Just is an interesting monster, because on its own he doesn't have any attack and because of that he is more likely a tank thanks to his good Health and Armor. Luckily the Rebellion set introduced the Weapons Trainer ability, which will allow my Noa to get the attack damage of the monster with this ability next to him.

Even without that ability he is quite good as a Support monster, because thanks to his Rust ability he will remove two Armor from the enemy monsters and his Evade ability will provide +25% extra evade chance to dodge the enemy Melee and Ranged attacks targeting him. 🤗

The Weapon Trainer
Kulu Mastermind
image.png

Kulu the Mastermind most important feature is his Weapons Trainer ability and like I said before he will be able to give his own attack (maximum of three*) to his adjacent monsters if they do not have any attack on their own. This ability alone will not justify why cost so much, which is nine mana and the reason for that is his Opportunity ability, which will make him to be able to attack from my backline and target the lowest Health from the enemy team. 😇

diablo_divider_no1_water.png

The Gladiator
Isgald Vorst
image.png

Isgald Vorst is a special type of monster in this game, because he is a Gladiator monster and such he has the Blooodlust ability, which means that he will increase his own stats by one in csae he manage to kill his target, which is amazing if you ask me. He also has the Opportunity ability liek my Kulu, so together maybe they will be able to remove the squishy and strong monsters from the enemy lineup. 💪

The Repairer
Swamp Spitter
image.png

The Swamp Spitter cost only 7 mana and I say that, because as a Ranged attack monster with three attack damage he has amazing abilities as well. The first one is his Repair ability, which means that he will restore some of the lost Armor on one of his friendly mosnter in every round and the second is his Giant Killer ability, which is perfect in high mana battles like this one, because it will makes him to deal double damage against monsters that cost 10 or more mana. 😜

My opponent brought General Sloan who is a Life Summoner and his main power is to give +1 Ranged attack to all of his monsters and this is his only ability hence he cost only four mana. 😎

The first round started very badly, because their War Pegasus had the Shatter ability and almost all of the enemy monsters were quicker than mine and in the result of that my Diemonshark took a bad hit and die losing all of his Armor at once and got a lot of incoming damage. 😒

It was my turn after that and all of my monsters had to attack their Iziar who had the Taunt ability, but at least my team was able to kill her too and luckily the final blow was made by my Isgald who activated his Bloodlust abiltiy and increased all of his stats. 😉

In the second round it was time to kill their Enraged tank, but they started first again and only the Forcefield ability saved my Oshannus from dying instanly. Sadly I also lost him anyway, but my Kulu killed their damage dealer from the their back who had enormous Ranged attack damage.

In the third round my Noa finally showed his power and being the quickest he killed their badly injured Barbarian and managed to take few hits as well without dying. Just before the round finished my Opportunist killed another strong Ranged attacker from their back. 😊

They had only Djinn Renova at their back who was able to attack, because their 'new' tank of War Pegasus was unable to attack from the first position and the rest of my team managed to kill them and won the battle for me! 😇

Compared to the enemy team, your cards were heavily equipped and faster, but the enemy was more discerning in their attack type selection, as Thorns was part of the ruleset. But somehow, you still won, so congratulations!

Thank you so much for your comment! 🙏

Yes I was suprised too, because I did use too much melee attack monsters, but luckily my opportunity monsters ruled the game to my favor! 😉
