Social Media Challenge | Be careful with the rulesets! π€
Overview
Today I brought a Wild Ranked battle, where I had few interesting rulesets, which I always like (especially in this combination) and on top of that the mana cap was super high, which allowed me to pick any monster and strategy that I would like to use. π
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Deflection Field | All monsters have the Deflect ability. |
Equal Opportunity | All monsters have the Opportunity ability. |
Reverse Speed | Monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks. |
The mana cap for my next battle was 55, which crazy good, because their would be no limitation what kind of monster I want to bring and I can focus only on the rulesets to build a team who will take advantage of that. π
The Deflection Field ruleset is that big of a deal, because it means that all the mosnters will be able to block any kind of indirect damage targeting them.
The Equal Opportunuty ruleset will be much more important, because all the monsters on the battlefield (except the tank and the monster with the Reach ability in the second position) will attack the lowest health monster on the battlefield. This requires a careful positioning of the monsters, because it is easy to control where the enemy monsters will attack and use taht to our advantage.
The Reverse Speed ruleset is also important, because it will flip the effect of the monsters speed, so the quickest and hardest to hit will be the ones that has the lowest speed and the best they have only one. π€
My lineup
![]() | Octavia Shadowmeld is a special Death Summoner, because she will decrease the health to all of her enemies by one, but most importantly she is able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle, which is pretty insane. π |
The Dumacke Orc stats wise is not the strongest on the battlefield, but he has quite a lot of armor and more importantly the Shield ability, which will halves all the incoming melee and ranged attacks that targets him. He also has the Retaliate ability, so whenever a melee attack monster attacks him he will have 50% chance to get a free attack agains them. π | ![]() |
![]() | I picked the Harklaw who is my favorite tank in the game, because he has amazing abilities. The first and most important is his Shield ability, so he will halves all the incoming melee and ranged attacks and that is why he is my main tank. The second is his Immunity ability, so no one can affect him with any magic debuffs and the third is the Demoralize, which he gets on his level three and it means that he will decrease the melee attack of all the enemy monsters by one. π |
The Disintegrator is an essential part of my team, because apart from his two melee attack damage he will be able to attack from the middle of my backline thanks to his Opportunity, but I used him, because he has the Demoralize ability as well like my Harklaw, which will further decrease the melee attack of the enemy monsters. π | ![]() |
![]() | Trapp Falloway was the whole reason I picked Octavia for this battle. His defense is quite weak that is a fact especially if you use him in the first position, but as a melee attacker in the Equal Opportunity ruleset he is just too perfect not to use. He has huge amount of damage and speed and on top of that he has the Bloodlust ability as a Gladiator monster, which means that if he manages to kill his target he will increase his own stat by one permanently. π |
The Drybone Raider is an excellent choice for this battle, because on its own he has two melee and two ranged attack and he can use tha easily as well from anywhere on the battlefield. On top of that he has the Double Strike ability as well, which means that he will attack twice with his attacks making it to a total of four attack in every round. π | ![]() |
![]() | The Night Ghoul has a lot of melee attack damage and he is very slow, which is a huge advantage for me. He also has the Taunt ability, so even though all the monsters had the Opportunity ability the enemy monsters had to attack my Ghoul first, which gave a lot of time for my squisher backline to deal damage. π |
The Battle

My opponent brought Daria Dragonscale who is a Dragon Summoner and his power apart from the fact that he is able to bring any kind of Dragon monster is that he gives +1 melee attack to all of his friendly monsters. π
In the first round not much happened, because both of us had pretty strong and well protected monsters, but luckily just before the round finished my Raider was able to utilise his Double Strike ability and kill their strongest ranged damage dealer from their backline.
Sadly he got Resurrected back by one of his monsters and the result of that I was the one who lost the first monster from my backline in the beginning of the second round.
Still in the same round my Harklaw killed their Drybone Barbarian who was pretty strong thanks to his Enrage ability. Unfortunately soon after we lost our Trapp Falloway, because his health was not that much and he was targeted because of that, but at least we killed their ranged damage dealer for good now. π
In the third round we killed their Repairer from their back and my Raider managed to kill their new tank the Desert Dragon as well.
The Reverse Speed ruleset helped a lot for my team to start the round, so in the third one my Disintegrator quickly killed their Djinn Renova, so only their Raider left in their team, but he had only one damage left, so he was unable to penetrate the Shield ability on my Harklaw and by killing him my team won this battle for me. π€

Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to try to take advantage of the Equal Opportunity and Reverse Speed rulesets, because if you as a player doesn't pay enough attention to them you can easily lose this battle. Luckily I was able to utilise these rulesets more than my opponent and my team was abe to win this battle for me. π
