My Weekly Battle Mage Secrets - Ferocity
Overview
The new Weekly ruleset Challenge is an amazing twist that I am enjoying so far and I hope there will be twists like that in the future to keep this Challenge's fresh. 😁
This week the ruleset is the Ferocity, which means that all units have the Fury ability.
Think carefully before including a unit with Taunt in your lineup as they will take double damage from units with Fury.
The upcoming Battle ruleset
Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Super Sneak | All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability. |
Ferocity | All units have the Fury ability. |
The mana cap for my next battle was 37, which is not that bad and it is enough to use some good and high mana cost monsters. The Super Sneak ruleset create a huge twist in this battle, because all of the melee attack monsters will target the last monster from the enemy team, so it is advised to think backwards than usual. 😊
The Ferocity ruleset doesn't change much on the gameplay as long as I am not going to bring any monster with the Taunt ability, so it is quite easy to counter this ruleset. 😇
My lineup
Quix the Devious is part of the Dragon Splinter and such they have amazing monsters. As a Summoner he decreases the ranged attack and health of all the enemy monsters, which is quite good for only 4 mana. 😁 | |
The Xenith Monk cost only 4 mana as well and he has amazing abilities and damage. He has the Void ability, which will halves all the incoming magic attack and his Magic Reflect ability will reflect some of the magic damage back to his attackers. He also has a self Heal ability, which is always a good addition to a monster. 😊 | |
The Ravenhood Warden cost four mana and he is a slow ranged attack monster, but his most important ability is his Protect, which will increase the armor of all of his friendly monsters by two. 😉 | |
The Cabalist has excellent abilities, but stats wise apart from his damage is quite weak. He has the Amplify ability, which will increase the damage of all the reflected abilities and his Demoralize will decrease the melee attack of all the enemy monsters. His Giant Killer ability will deal double damage against a monster who cost 10 or more mana. 😅 | |
The Djinn Chwala is my all time favorite Dragon monster from the beginning of my career. He has amazing melee attack damage with lots of health and some armor. His Enrage and Thorns ability will make him a formidable monster against any melee attack monster. He also has the True Strike ability, which I like it a lot, because this monster will be unable to miss an attack. 💪 | |
The Cursed Windeku has similar capabilities like the Chwala, but he also has the self Heal ability, which will help a lot to sustain much more damage. His Slow ability will decrease the speed of all the enemy monsters as well. 😜 | |
Doctor Blight is a very popular monster, because he cost only four mana and he has the Camouflage ability, which will hide him from the enemy monsters as long as he has a teammate alive. He hasi the Poison and Affliction ability and that is why he is so powerful. His Scavenger ability will increase his health by one if a monster dies on the battlefield. 🤗 |
The Battle
My opponent brought the Astral Entity from the Death Splinter who has three abilities for only six mana. He will decrease the armor on my minions by two and he provides the Evade ability to his monsters, which will give them extra chance to evade an incoming melee or ranged attack. He will also Resurrect the first of his monster who dies in the battle. 🤓
In the first round his Lira was the fastest monster on the battlefield and using her Opportunity attack she killed my Ravenhood with one attack. 😱
None of the other monsters died in the first round, but his Cursed Windeku at the back of his lineup was pretty damaged. 😁
In the second round I lost my Xenith Monk and my team finally were able to kill his first monster who was his Deceiver, but his Summoner revived him back to life imediately with one health.
His Windeku finally died and my Blight killed his tank again, so it was quite a good round for my team. 😆
In the third round I lost my Cabalist, but at least my Chwala killed another of their monster with his high damage. In the fourth round he killed one more monster and only two monster left in their team and because they were ranged attack mosnters it was quite easy to kill them. 😇
Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to protect my backline with monsters using the Thorns ability. That worked perfectly and they were able to mitigate a lot of incoming damage. It was easy to ignore the Ferocity ruleset, because I didn't bring any monster with the Taunt ability. 😅
