The Weekend Rides - A Look Back 15 years ago

I was browsing my Microsoft One Drive and looking at the pictures I had saved there before. One of the folders with images I found was from the time I used to ride motorbikes 10 to 15 years ago.

Back then, I had a motorbike, and my friend and I would go to different places for rides. I used to sleep early before our rides because we often left early as well. We would wake up early to avoid heavy traffic, although we usually did this on weekends when the traffic wasn't as congested. Still, it was better to leave early.

As I recall, I didn't like this particular ride because the road was curvy. I prefer roads with long stretches where I can enjoy sightseeing while riding. On this trip, we had to stop to appreciate the scenery.

I know many riders enjoy this type of road, but I don't. I ride slowly. I only enjoy these weekend rides once we reach our destination. When you ride with a group, you need to keep the same speed to avoid getting separated. Sometimes I want to slow down because I see a beautiful view I want to appreciate, but I can't do that, especially if I'm at the back and just following, not knowing the directions.

Despite this observation, I've enjoyed many group rides. Back then, I rode because I was looking for something I might enjoy. So when my friend invited me, I said yes to try it out.

Now, it's different. I know the activities I like, and I'm not looking to add more to my schedule because I'm short on time. It's nice to look back at old pictures and remember what I used to do.
