Choosing Growth: Why I’m Learning Hangul in My Free Time
Do you want to learn another language?
Because I do, and the language I chose to study is Hangul. You might be thinking the reason I decided to learn it is because I love K-dramas. And you’re right—but of course, I also have other reasons for wanting to study it.
First, I genuinely want to learn another language, and I believe this one could be useful to me.
This language has market value here in the Philippines. If I can learn it, it could become a potential source of income in the future.
I could teach it, create study guides, subtitle movies, become an interpreter, and many more.
So why Hangul? Why not French, Arabic, or Chinese?
Well, I think Hangul is relatively easy to learn and easier to earn from if I manage to learn it in the future. Honestly, my top choices were Nihongo (Japanese) and Hangul, but I decided to start with Hangul first.
I’m not even sure if I won’t get lazy or if I’ll actually succeed in learning it.
I can read Hangul a bit faster now, but I still can’t construct sentences. I only know a few phrases.
The other day, I was thinking of ways to teach myself Hangul, and I came up with the idea of making a study practice video.
The first one I made was kind of wrong because I didn’t start from the first step of how I should actually begin learning.
, but since I had already started it, I decided to finish it anyway. For the next videos, I’ll make something more suitable for beginners.
I realized I need to learn like how a child learns to speak—so I’ll begin with character familiarization and create a study practice video for that too.
Right now, I only have one video. But this single video will be the start of a new way of learning for me.
I had to google what Hangul was xD Just write Korean buddy! :P
I am currently learning Chinese, which wil take a while. Maybe 2 years xD
His splinterlands comics r good! I wonder about low curations from splinterlands
Maybe @lolodens is not participating in social media challenge posts by @splinterlands?
Well, they are AI generated, even though it takes a long time for him, its still AI, so people are fans x)
Or maybe because he pulls out a lot of his KE is at 18? xD
KE ratio could be the reason xD
I liked his AI comics hehehe
Ye properly. I liked them aswell and it does require alot of work to get characters like that all the time :D
Actually, it's okay with me if I don't get high votes. I'm just really happy making comics, and it really makes me happy when someone reads them and enjoys them. So thank you to both of you. @cwow2 @dlmmqb
Hey! Thanks again for reading my comic! Feel free to check out my other ones too—you might find something you’ll enjoy. Haha! 😄
I didn’t submit my Splinterlands comics to the challenges. I had to withdraw a lot of my HP this year because I needed the money. I know that when an account has low HP, posts usually don’t get curated anymore. And yep, I used AI to create the images, but I still wrote the script and handled the layout myself. A lot of people don’t like AI, especially since they don’t realize it still takes a lot of skill and time to use it well.
I saw you r doing well on other platforms with your comics. Good luck!
I also want to learn Mandarin, but since this is my first time learning a new language as an adult, I decided to start with something I think is a bit easier. Haha! Mandarin seems really tough, but maybe after a year... if I manage to learn Hangul using the system I’m working on, I’ll try applying the same method to studying Mandarin.
I have tried to learn another language in school, but its a few decades since :P So its also my "first" time learning a language in adulthood :D
And Mandarin is tough, its also so far away from my native language, so it doesn't make a lot of sense haha xD
Also, take some upvotes :D
