The Unseen Struggles Of A Teacher

As the nation will soon celebrates The World Teachers Day this coming whole month of October allow me to give reflections on about this career. There were so much struggles of teachers that were unseen and unappreciated.But still many of us,Rooted in the service and lasted for years.
These were just some questions rooted in my mind.
So much questions is in my mind after I reached 10 years in service about my chosen career.

*Was it all my efforts given in this profession were all worth it?
Its my longest time in this profession I can't imagine why I lasted this long,despite of all the tiredness and the pressures of the work,still I am staying in this career. I know I made a lot of effort over the years, but sometimes If not because I'm thinking of the learners maybe I shift to another career.

Why Am I choosing this career over the other?
It's a calling that's why even if there are hard day's in work, complying all the paperworks tasked to us,meeting deadlines but still choose to be part of this profession.
What was really my calling in this life?
Sometimes there were times Ive been reflecting many times over and over again.Do I have to continue this passion to teach until I reached my retirement age?Was everything okay If I reached the age of 60 will I be able to teach well in class?These were just some of the worries that hunt me.

What is teaching?
Teaching is the ability to share or impart knowledge to individual most especially learners, after imparting knowledge, assessment is given in the end.But as for me,teaching is not just imparting knowledge but also imparting your whole life to the profession.

Why I choose teaching?
Unfortunately,I am just a simple person with a simple dream.Being in this career is not somewhat I'm dreaming of.But hey, thanks to my father,he's the reason for every success that happened in my life.
He's now into the good hands of our dear Lord.
I never thought Ive stayed this long and now I'm in a ten year of service my heart still in this passion of teaching despite the many unseen struggles that happened in the four walled cornered classroom.

Today, as we celebrate the World Teachers Day,may each one of us, teachers can bring difference to our children to be a better person in the society.As a teacher we just not only teach but also to inspire them to become better.
