Yes, unfortunately there are many cases of scammers on Discord. I have come across many cases of accounts pretending to be accounts of famous projects or platforms, but this is the first time I have encountered a scammer posing as a well-known and respected Hiver on Hive.
The only way to defend yourself is to always remain vigilant and share experiences like this one.
