Hello Moon Kart Racers! Aside from your basic kart and driver which are the minimum NFTs required to race in Moon Karts, there are several accessories you can buy to improve the performance of your karts. Last time, I wrote about Tech Cards, now let's look into Power Ups.

Power Ups

Power ups can prevent your opponents from their performance or boost your own performance depending on what you equipped. There are five power up slots that you can fill depending on the level up your kart. In my case, I can only fill up one slot because my kart is at level one. Let's take a deep dive into Power Ups.

Lunar Glide

The Lunar Glide power-up is an oil-like substance that players can deploy on the tracks making it slippery. It will cause other players to slip and lose control of their karts, effective in causing chaos to competitors in tight corners.

Celestial Thrust

The Celestial Thrust is a turbo boost giving the player a temporary boost in speed, accelerating the kart rapidly for a short time. This is effective when you want to overtake your opponents or to catch up when you are behind. Activate it when you are neck and neck against an opponent near the finish line and leave him behind.

Moonfire Missile

Moonfire Missile

The Moonfire Missile is one of the offensive weapons designed to destroy your opponent's karts. It fires a rocket to hit and disable opponent's karts making you gain time to overtake them. However, you must aim accurately and time your shots so as not to waste your opportunity.

Cosmic Disruptor

The Cosmic Disruptor is another offensive weapon. It's an AOE weapon that affects multiple nearby karts. When activated, it will cause nearby opponent karts to lose control and slow down. This is effective in tight corners or in packs when you can hit multiple opponents.

Lunar Bolt

The Lunar Bolt is similar to the Cosmic Disruptor but this one targets only a single kart. It has basically the same effect but for a single target. It's effective when you want to hit a kart in front of you.

Lunar Barrier

The Lunar Barrier is a defensive power up. It provides a shield that will protect your kart from power-ups and collisions in a short time. It's an effective defense against Moonfire Missile and Cosmic Disruptor. When activated, it allows you to race without worrying about attacks as long as it remains active.

Final Thoughts

There are seven Power Ups that you can choose from and equip in your five slots. It will depend on your strategy and style which ones you pick. Whether you want to play offensively or defensively there are power ups for you. Whatever you choose, it's guaranteed to add fun and excitement in the race.
