"Enjoying the Saturday Night Bingo by the Seawall!"

Hello my dear friends and fellow hivers! Hello to this wonderful @hiveph community! I hope you were all doing fine right now. This is me again, "LJ" to share another simple life story to you all.

Last Saturday night felt like one of those simple but special moments that I just want to write about. My husband, my son, and I suddenly decided to go out and play "Bingo" at the seawall because there's a "Peryaan" set up there right now. We did not really plan it, we just wanted a little weekend fun and fresh air after a long week. So around 7:30 PM, we headed out, and as expected, the place was already filled with people. The lights, the music, the noise from the different stalls, and the energy of the crowd instantly made the place feel alive.

When we arrived, we chose a spot near the side area where it was a bit more airy and cool. The evening breeze was really nice, and it made the whole experience more relaxing. My son looked so excited choosing the bingo cards, and my husband was already scanning the crowd to find the best place to sit. Even though there were a lot of people, it did not feel to cramped where we sat, so it was the perfect spot for us.

We started playing, and after a few rounds, the luck was definitely on our side. We actually won three times, which made my son extra happy and proud. Every time we shouted "Bingo!" he would laugh and clap his hands. The small prizes weren't really the point, it was the joy of winning together that made the night fun. Because of our "wins", we were also given tickets for the "punuan" round happening later that night. That made us even more excited, since the prizes for that part are usually bigger.

By around 11 PM, the "Punuan" round finally started. The atmosphere instantly became more intense. You could feel everyone wanting to win. Everyone focused on their cards, waiting for that one number that could change the whole game. We were so close that we only had 1 number to be picked. My heart was already beating fast, thinking maybe we’d get it. But then, just a second before the next number was even fully called, the person beside us suddenly shouted “Bingo!” He was so quick, and everyone turned to look. He won the ₱5,500. prize. For a moment, my husband and I just looked at each other and sighed. We’re just one number short.

Still, instead of feeling bad, we just laughed it off! That’s the thrill of bingo! Sometimes you win, sometimes you almost win, and sometimes you just enjoy the game and the company. My son was still in high spirits, and told us that we shall return the next saturday.
