The year is coming to an end and I am sure that most hivians are planning towards next year —next year's goals and plans. It is a new beginning to plan and lay down goals for next year, and with that, we have a direction for what we are expecting or what we are aiming towards.

I am currently on a newbie initiative program, which is almost coming to an end and I have learnt a lot from this program. I will be sharing the tips that I feel would help newbies grow next year and help them achieve their goals.

MAKING QUALITY AND NICE CONTENT

This is something every newbie should consider because it is a really nice tip. A quality post makes a reader enraptured and makes them stick to your content, it brings more people to your content and also makes them want to read or watch your content any time they come across you.

When you make quality and well-written content, it is most likely to get appreciated and you are most likely to gain more followers.

There are different ways to make a post quality;

First, of course, make nice content and post in the right community, don’t make a post just because you feel like you will get an upvote but make content because you can relate to it. Don’t just write any post because you want to write every day, take your time to write meaningful posts or better still, skip a day.

Also, make use of markdowns and thumbnails. These things beautify your content, they present your content nicely and neatly, make it pleasing to the eyes, and make your content attractive to your readers.

BE WILLING TO LEARN

On Hive, there are a lot of things going on that only you can understand, and as a newbie, you need to be willing to learn from others. Ask what you don’t understand, ask about anything that seems to baffle you.

Even if you have a 60%-70% understanding of something, you can still ask if you find anyone available because there might be little details that might help you on hive. Don’t limit yourself, Hive is vast and there are a lot of things you need to understand as a newbie or not

BUILDING CONNECTIONS/ ENGAGEMENTS

In my recent post, I talked about how to build connections.

One of the keys to growing on Hive is meaningful engagement, it helps you to be visible to other beautiful content creators here, and also, it helps you to learn from other authors. There are a lot of things you can learn by reading other people’s posts.

Just like our everyday lives, building connections is very helpful here in Hive, it helps you grow on Hive. It helps you feel like you are not alone on this blockchain and helps you form a family around the world.

As a newbie, with this, you will more happier because you have friends on this blockchain, you won’t find the blockchain boring, it will help you show up daily on Hive, and it will also motivate you to be consistent when you have people around you that you can share your ideas and struggles with.

These are some ways and tips that can help a newbie grow on Hive and also make them enjoy their journey on Hive.

All the points you mentioned are really worthy of note. Most especially engagement begets engagement and users will always love to engage with your contents if they are quality ones and resonate with them.

Great content and thanks for sharing it as I know it will be of great help to newbies.

Lovely tips. We cannot overemphasize these things. Whatever kind of engagement you want to see on your content, be a giver of it first.
