Tell The World About Her Savior!
Greetings Righteous People of God.
If you went to the hospital to get treatment for being healthy, you might likely end up in a psychiatric ward. Obviously, because a healthy person does not need medical treatment, unless you want a check up, otherwise what you need are tips for staying healthy for as long as possible.
Similarly, we who have received Salvation by believing in the finished work of Christ do not need saving again. What we need is discipleship to equip us for the work of ministry, and more importantly to make us come to the full measure of the stature of Christ. Yes, the goal is to become like Christ.
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:Ephesians 4:11-15 (KJV)
People can rant and argue all they want about scriptures and doctrines, and history.
They can argue about tithes and offerings, law and grace, sabbaths, heaven and hell, what women should wear and what not to wear, Jesus’ deity, birthdays, and whatnot..
As long as the Gospel of Salvation (death, burial and resurrection of Christ) remains intact, and as long as John 1:12 and John 3:16 cannot be quoted out of context; as long as salvation still hinges on Faith in the Finished work of Christ, in other words, believing that Christ paid the full price for our sins so that we all should be saved.
I almost forgot that there is still an argument about the nature of God's salvation whether it is eternal or temporary.
So, the salvation that God planned and executed all by Himself, humans still argue about it. Chai!
Ok it was just a story made up by those who want to suppress us. Ok, it is all a lie. Agreed. But they say all you need to do is buy into the story and believe the lie. But most importantly, believe that you are saved. Is that a big deal?
There is no greater argument, neither is there a stronger plea that can erase what Jesus did for the world.
That price was paid in full, on behalf of the entire human race.
Jesus didn't die for only one person. Personalizing salvation is selfish. O, you can argue that too. This generation was not conceived when Christ died on the cross. But that death was for all ages, and his resurrection was for the redemption of all who will believe. He died for the world. It is the world that needs saving. Salvation is for the world. This is the Gospel we are told to preach!
Everyone will eventually hear this message. But woe to those who are trying to commercialize or corrupt that message with plausible doctrines, arguments and philosophies, that only lead to more and more corruption — and more money in their pockets.
We don't know better than God. The Jews didn't understand who Jesus was. They knew, at least it was written, that a Messiah would come but didn't understand Him when He finally came.
The Gentiles were not even aware of such a thing as Messiah, or salvation. It wasn't written anywhere in their own books nor prophesied by their own seers. But most of them, by faith recognized the Messiah and His mission when they saw him, or when it was told them.
It is on this ground that both Jews and Gentiles are stripped off whatever prestige, and toppled off whatever high ground that Christ may be lifted high above all else. It is not a matter for argument. It is a matter of faith — a matter for believing.
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek (non Jew). — (Romans 1:16).
Tell the world about her savior!
Wonderful
