RE: DIY Laundry Room Update

Not being a DIYer myself I would have never been brave enough to take up such a massive challenge, so kudos to you for that.

The floor tile and panelling is giving off the mid century vibe, great choices. Will you be using this as the drying room as well when it's wet outside? I'm thinking if the panels will absorb moisture making the room a bit damp 🤔

We won't be using it as a drying room, or at least not in the way that I think you mean. In North America we don't hang dry clothing, everything is dried in a dryer and vented outside. We consume energy like mad here lol. Our "mudroom" where we enter the house from outside and our wet shoes/boots and coats go is a different room on the opposite side of the house. So moisture wouldn't be an issue in this room in that regard. However, we have had issues with water getting into the room from the door when it rains really hard outside so I'm slightly worried about that. I raised the panels off the ground a couple of centimeters for that reason in hopes that they don't pull up any moisture. We'll see how it goes. I have a plan to fix the leaking door problem but that will likely be next year's project now lol.
