Sorry, I missed this yesterday.
I thought squat toilets were only on Asia, am surprised to see them in Europe as well. If that cistern is refurbished, it would look so classy in the toilet at home 😀

These cisterns would certainly benefit from restoration, and since they are still available for purchase, the same ones, it might be cheaper to replace them with new ones.
I took a picture of this toilet in Tirana, but I have seen this type of toilet in my country as well.
