Make a scented candle with me!

Hello guys!

I hope you all are doing great! Today I’ll be sharing with you guys the process of candle making.
I wanted to make an aesthetic candle for my side table. So I just put my thought into it and this is the outcome.

Let’s take a look on the process of candle making.

Process:

Firstly I took one of these icecream cups.

Then I took this white satin ribbon, for the outer decoration of the candle.

Then I measured the ribbon according to the length of the cup.

And then folded the whole ribbon according to the length of the cup, just like this.

After folding the ribbon, I cut the ends of the folds to get the ribbon pieces of cup length.

These are the ribbon pieces that I got after cutting the ribbon.

Now it was the time to apply the ribbon pieces to the cup, but then I noticed that the cup design was still see thru.

To overcome this thing, I gathered a cardboard paper and cut it according to the cup size.

Now I started to apply this piece to the icecream cup
Using glue.

After applying it down, this is how the icecream cup looked like. It was fully covered now!

Now I took my ribbon piece and attached its one end to the cup’s starting point.

And then attched the other end of the ribbon to the bottom of the cup, make sure to cut the ribbons with some extra length so that after attaching this was a gap is created just like this:

Repeating the same process, I was able to cover the whole cup and it turned out like this:

Then, I took some of my old candles which were not been used.

And then used this candle too, it was very old one and it wasn’t used since then, so I thought to add it as well. It is in levender scent.

Put the candles in the pan and turned the heat on, make sure to not burn them with high flame just keep the flame low in the beginning and then you can turn the flame to high afterwards to speed up the process.

Added the levender candle too.

After some time the candles will start to melt.

Then, I separated these candle threads using this tong.

Here, I’ll give you a tip, the two candles that I used earlier were nit scented ones but this levender one was scented so the whole new candle will be scented. But if you don’t already have scented candle or any candle scent in your availability, you guys can just add flower patels to the mixture and let it cook, then the candle will automatically become a scented one.

My candle was in levender scent but I still let these levemder flower to cook intonthe mixture to make the scent more strong, so other two non scented candles would be compensated.

Then I took one of the previously separated candle thread and placed it into the cup.

Now I poured the candle mixture to the cup.

The mixture will take some time to release the heat and then it will solidify. You can wait a while and then when you will realise that it is about to solidy you can hold the thread in the desired position.

Held it for a while and after some time the candle started to solidify and thread was already held into its position so I stopped holding it.

Now you just have to wait until the candle is completely ready. It will take maximum 15 to 20 minutes to get it completely done.

The candle wax was completely solidified at this moment and it was ready to use. I then lit it up, to check how did it turned out.

The candle turned out amazing, the scent was there! The functioning was perfect! I loved how it’s unique white exterior turned out!

I hope you guys liked the candle as well as this blog too. That’s it for today blog! See you guys in the next one! 👋
