☃️ Wintery forest walk in my new “WORLDMAPPIN HOODIE” ~ Varjisträsk, Norbotten County SWEDEN 🇸🇪 photos and video

Come and walk with me through this magical forest in the north of Sweden into the SUNSET ~ in Varjisträsk, Norbotten County, SWEDEN. 🇸🇪
I show you also my new #worldmappin hoodie and a #video so you can really walk with me today 😊
We went off a dirt road and found a sturdy snowmobile track… which means we could wander over the layers of snow into this forest. 😊

Let me tell you; “It was rather fun to set up my CANONR5 on my tripod and make some #selfportraits in our forest behind the cabin.” 🌳 Eventually I had the timer right, the distance to walk/ run hahaha and that it took several (read 10) photos, each after 15 seconds. 😂😁 (great to have settings like this, I never used it before)

If you don’t know or was wondering… when is she showing her @worldmappin #hoodie that she WON with the WORLDMAPPIN WINTER CHALLENGE from December. I know… I know… it took me a little while after it arrived last month. 🫣

I didn’t only WIN THE CHALLENGE : first place 🥇, but to my surprise I won also one of the raffle prizes what was this AWESOME WORLDMAPPIN HOODIE!!! 🥳🥳🥳
I can’t wait to take it with me around the world 🗺️ on my travels and moves…

I just had to find some time to get out and about for a walk on a day that we had some sunlight as the winter weather here, up #NORTH has been really really bad in the last weeks. Very misty, grey and dark with snow… sleet and icy roads. ⛈️🌨️❄️🌬️
Due to the renovations in the cabin (which have a deadline) I was also, and still am crazy busy… as some of you know. I did find the perfect days to do it all… yesterday I edited the photos.

and… Today is the day, I can FINALLY share my post with you all 😁
Let me take you along on my excitement first before we start our walk together. 🥰

In February I received the long awaited package from the Worldmappin team
All neatly and tightly packed in a small box. 📦

Slowly I opened the package 📦 and found not only the Worldmappin hoodie in it, but also several WORLDMAPPIN #stickers… wooohhhooooo 🥳

Soooo awesome! The hoodie fits perfect and it is soooooo soft 🥰

Back to the walk now in a magical forest…

You take the small road just off the E45 at Varjisträsk. It was in the middle of nowhere… just the way I like it. After a while there is a trail on the right that goes into the forest 🌳 that you can easily follow.
We parked the car on the side and followed the snowmobile tracks on foot and looped round back again during this walk.

💜 Do stay until the end as I share some AWESOME #SUNSET photos… more hoodie captures and even an (almost) 4 minute video of a part of this walk.

As we walk on the tracks we take in the views. We slowly go up and peek through the trees 🌳

There are a lot of animal tracks everywhere… crossing each other.

At an opening in the forest we can look into the distance. It is just light enough to walk in this forest 🌳

We see some trees have been snapped by the weather or the heavy snow that it covered this winter. ❄️

The snowmobile tracks are rather fresh… that is always nice, this way we can walk into forests and explore new areas. 😊

I see so many awesome details… like these snowy forms on a log 🪵

The trees are tall and guide us into the forest.

We see more forms… this one is long and sweeping. Do you see it?

More animal tracks, looks like a rabbit to me.

We reach another open area and see some smaller trees around us. 🌲🌲🌲

The sun is low in the sky now 🌄

This little tree 🌲 had to be captured so it framed this view 😊

We walk further and see more snowmobile tracks. It makes the snow even more compact to walk on.

To the right of us we see something larger (an animal) was running away. Did it hear us? Or was it before us when the snowmobiles were in the forest. I think the latter 🤓

Wow… a large open area. We see one of the snowmobile tracks go round in a loop… hahaha they are easy to follow. We take in the views 😎 the sun just reached the back of the trees that are higher up.

As we walk back to the big tracks I take a capture to the area we just walked from.

We see next to us some vegetation peeking out under the thick snow ⛄️

More tracks. There is a lot of #wildlife here.

As we wander further… we take in the wide views.

No idea what made these footprints 👣 🐾

The sky is beautiful today 🥰 finally some better weather. As I so missed some light and sun ☀️

Shall we follow this older track to the right? Or do we turn around to the better track.
We try for a little while to walk on this older snowmobile track but we are starting to sink deep into the snow… nah… let’s go back to the better more recent track.

We take in the wide views, such a beautiful area 😊

Hhmmm the sky is darkening, maybe we should head back towards the lighter areas.

We see human footprints 👣 older ones… maybe from a hunter or somebody walking the forests 🌳

As we wander the tracks, this one stops here abruptly hahaha
Time to turn around me thinks 😂

As we wander back the way we came from, we take our time to take in all the details around us. Like this stunning old tree 🌲 It reaches high above us. It is huge!

I capture this branch next to the tracks. Beautifully covered by frost. 🥶

Looking up… I like the form of this large tree 🌲

As we walk further we see the sun shining through the trees 🌲 ☀️

We walk and walk… 😎

‼️ 😁 to give a feel from this beautiful and peaceful walk in this forest, the crunch under our feet and see a few glimpses of the sunset… have a look at my video here 👇🏻 and walk literally with me: 🤍

So peaceful… right?

The sun just above the trees and mountains 🏔️ 🌳🌲☀️ remember… we walked past here on our way into the forest.

I see the sun rays shining on our tracks we follow. Like a little guide where to walk 😊

Some frosty branches, do you see how icy this blob of snow is? ❄️

Oh… look how beautiful 🤩 this view is. The sun is just touching the edges of the trail.

I see…. Yes… I need to capture some more details 🥰

Going all the way down. Perfect! One of my favourite captures of today 💛

Hhmmm now I see suddenly so much more subjects to photograph around us. As the sun is lighting up our path and everything on it. Like this little branch that is hanging over us.

Next to it… these little cones. Believe me… I took a LOT OF PHOTOS HERE hahaha 🤣 I was playing with the sun and where/ how it was shining around them.
