Let’s have a closer look at his beautiful work.

While wandering around road works I saw something in the distance…
IMG_7994.jpeg

I began to smile as it is large and I saw it was painted. I couldn’t wait to get closer by.
IMG_7995.jpeg

It is right next to the entrance of a large park.
Standing right in front of the wall we see this:
IMG_7996.jpeg

Wow it is stunning! Even the roof tiles are painted including the doves and shading of them. Did you see that the roof was painted?
IMG_7998.jpeg

Let us look at some more details. Let your eyes go around slowly… all is painted. All details, the plants, the balconies the people and animals.
IMG_7999.jpeg

The architectural features are so well done. Stunning!
IMG_8001.jpeg

The little tower on the side with the pigeons.
IMG_8003.jpeg

The lady that is Juliette. (As we could read in above websites) Do you see the dog next to her?
IMG_8004.jpeg

The front door.
IMG_8006.jpeg

With a plaque next to it.
IMG_8007.jpeg

There was more information here, but half is missing… from the bottom part along the entire wall. Including parts of the large dog.
IMG_8008.jpeg

I zoom in on the pigeons one more time.
IMG_8009.jpeg

Such a stunning Trompe-l'œil. I love finding them… stay tuned for more of them once in a while while I show my streetart finds in France.

🚐🚐🚐 Update journey: Day one of us driving south 3000km to move half of our belongings went well, today we drive a bit more and we have done half way now. We are just having some delicious lunch now in our favourite restaurant on the drive down (we have been a few times before) and we rest a little… with internet to post this posty. We drive about 400km a day…. With loads of breaks to rest to not overdo it for me health wise. We will catch a ferry 🚢 on Wednesday evening.

…and here I say that’s all for today’s post my friends.

Beautiful mural... This appears to be a mural celebrating historical or cultural figures born in Montpellier such as Juliette Gréco. Great tribute. Thanks for sharing these pics on The StreetArt Community.

Have a great day and a "quiet" trip. Take care.

I truly loved this mural. It was so real. The perspective of the architectural features, the shading placed just right. One truly needed to look what was painted. This side was dine everywhere. The roof tiles stood out and the details of the balcony.
Thanks Joe.
Finished day 3 of driving… tomorrow evening we hop on the night ferry ⛴️ to arrive Thursday morning in Germany.
I am taking lots of breaks and little stops to stretch the legs and rest… slowly but steady.
Vroom vroom 🚐🚐🚐

The breaks are very good for you Jackie, driving can be tiring 😫 I struggled doing 2.30 hours drive back home yesterday, I have done a lot of driving in the last two weeks.
Take care and enjoy the travels

I so need them. Hubby has been driving alone the last 2 days as I couldn’t… we did take still loads of breaks and even visited a zoo for 2 hours yesterday half way in Germany. 😎 but today I try to drive again today.

I can imagine Joe. The km you cross will be a lot in your job. Hope you don’t have to drive this weekend.
Thank you. You too take care and stay safe.

I bet you took photos of your visit to te zoo to share with us. I still have lots of unshared photos of my Auckland Zoo visit.
This weekend am not working so good for me to rest.
By the way am off to Africa, Benin 🇧🇯 in December to see my daughter, booked my flight ✈️ already 😀.

Good you are taking it easy and hubby has done most of the drive.
Enjoy Jackie 😉

That is good to hear you had last weekend time to rest.

Wooohhooo that is great. So happy for you. December will come soon.
Today (this morning) is the last day in an accommodation and we start slowly driving around with us sleeping in the van now.
We unloaded everything yesterday into a storage unit.
Thank you Joe
Have a beautiful evening.

Thank you Jackie 😊
Now with the empty van, you guys can enjoy the opportunity to stop at any campground for the night. Awesome 👌

Thank you Jackie, I have over 6 hours drive to Athol tomorrow, past Queenstown.

You are welcome Joe
We prefer an empty forest… or lake side. Campgrounds are too busy and mostly full in the height of the summer season.
We did manage to find a spot to sleep every day. Just had no internet. But that’s nice too once in a while haha !LOL
Not too often though, as one just needs internet for many reasons.

That was a long drive. Hope all went well.

I can tell judging by the camping grounds i see here people are full 😀
Nice when you can empty spots.

Yes the drive went well, couldn't do one of the job because of snow on the mountain it was too dangerous to drive up so I called it off for summer when it is safe to drive up there.

Luckily some countries do allow you to sleep in nature. If one researches well, one can find a spot.
We always make sure we don’t leave anything… like many do. I saw places littered with garbage. Such a shame when people don’t care for nature… that is when locals don’t want campers around any more. Some places are trying to stop the overnight vans / campers.

We are contemplating if we stay our next drive south in accommodations again or get a tent ⛺️ and sleep next to the van to save a bit of money. Just… it will be the middle of next month and the temperatures are dropping fast here. It is autumn 🍂 leaves are dropping. Last year we had first frost in September. 🥶 So it could be really cold.

I have to pack everything now before we leave with the full van 🚐. Ferry is booked.
I know already I can’t finish all renovations in the cabin as my health won’t allow me to do it all next to everything else I have to do in 5 weeks. The staircase will be left. Scraping off all the lacker, sanding all the steps and sides is the hardest work and will take probably a full month of just doing that, then staining to restore. So it will have to wait. Maybe I return to do it next year… let’s see what I can agree on.

Hope you are well.
Take care Joe

Its sucks when some people just litter and can't leave a place tidy the way they found it. 😕

With the temperatures dropping, staying in accommodation might be better.
I wouldn't survive sleeping in tent in cold temperature, I am sick of cold again, I think its the 3rd or 4th time this winter.

Am glad we are now in Spring but its still cold though.

Coming back to finish the renovation might workout well depending on your agreement. Don't push it, your health is most important.

Have a good day Jackie

Yes, it really does.

Haha guess what we got a tent and sleeping mats. So a tent it will be for our 9 days drive down. We have to safe money as everything is getting so expensive and hubby isn’t working yet.

Sorry to hear. That is a lot of time to have a cold. Hope your system gets used to it Joe.
Soon it’s summer again. Here the nights are already dropping to 3 degrees Celsius.

I know I know… my health is playing up and my immune system is attacking my body. After the lymph node it didn’t recover. So our visit south bringing the first half of our belongings down I got bitten by a few mosquitoes. I didn't notice much but I always swell up badly as I am allergic. I noticed a spot on my leg that looked different after the bite. A few days later the pain was less and I didn’t check and worked further with getting the house ready.
Until 2 weeks ago just before my birthday. We were in the city for shopping groceries. And while drinking coffee I suddenly had excruciating pain in my leg. I lifted up my pants leg and saw a red spot about 4 by 4 cm on my shin, bottom leg. It was burning like fire.
At home I took some painkillers… this was Wednesday. By Friday morning I had to ring emergencies and they ordered me to come in immediately. The mosquito bite went into a bacterial infection all the way down to the underlying tissues. So they gave me one of the strongest antibiotics 3 a day, 7 days long, 900mg a day. To fight it off as clearly my immune system couldn’t anymore.
It made me soooo sick. So now I am off the antibiotics and still recovering as I had some bad side effects to the medication.

This all next to moving countries… sigh. I soooo need to rest but can’t really. I hope I can later next month.

Have a good evening Joe

Things are so very expensive Jackie so wherever we can save lets do it.

Yeah winter season is always tough on me here as I am outdoors all the time, hopefully my system adjusts.

Oh no, so sorry about the damn mosquito bite, yeah our system just can't handle allergies. I hate it when I fall into the allergy sickness and my whole body gets disrupted. Thankfully you got medical treatment.

I can imagine but keep striving, you and hubby will finally settle and rest soon.

Thank you Jackie
Have a good day and wishing you a quick recovery 😊

I so agree with that Joe, yes… let’s do that. Save as much as we can.
I think it will take some years, but it will adjust slowly Joe. I notice it here. It takes a bit but one does adjust to the long winter and dark days. Luckily I only will have the start of winter next month and we go south. We stop at my moms to help her out a little as she is struggling lately. Looking forward to that.

I had too, as it could have gone wrong with that spot and ended up in sepsis. Luckily I was in time and it seems the antibiotics worked well. I wish I could fix my immune system, then I wouldn’t occur such things. But I have to be careful…
Once we moved. I rest… a longggg time.

On it!

Thank you so much Joe.
Enjoy the evening.

It would be lovely being at your mom's for helping out a bit and even the company I so envy would be much needed. So thankful for you that you got the mosquito bite treatment before it get worse.

I can imagine, some things we can't change. Being careful would be a good way to protect and prevent yourself from illness exposures.

Thank you Jackie, have a good one.

It will be, can’t wait to be back at hers.
Somehow it isn’t recovering well. I think we are definitely getting older and everything takes longer now.

We have to be careful… i keep doing my best.

You are welcome.
Have a good end of this week Joe
