The next room : living room I am filming more than making photos. So could be a fun video 🤣 will take a while before we finish that room. I guess 2 more weeks. We have to take up the laminate too and paint the wooden floor after wallpapering and painting.

I just finished wallpapering the second wall. All finished with the wallpaper. Next. Paint the 2 other walls, later this week as tomorrow is shopping groceries day.

Yes, luckily I am. Although my back doesn’t like it. But… it will be worth it. We have a goal.
I do need to finish all before end of April. I shifted the end of March bit to give me some more time. 🤓

I did, thanks. It was a rather smooth drive. We chose the day well to go out. The next 4 days we get warmer temperatures above freezing so the snow will melt again and the ice 🧊 returns.

I'm glad you had a smooth drive to go shopping! But...getting warmer temperatures above freezing...! Ouch, when our temperature drops below 20 here in Durban, we think it's freezing...😅!!

We are having a great, rainy weekend with our temperature at 27, thank you. Oh...and humidity at 94%...😅!

That’s nice to hear. Some rain is needed. Although the humidity is high.
I had… been painting and finished 2 large walls in the living room. Tomorrow I take up the ugly laminate and hope to find a nice wooden floor 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Thanks… guess what. I found a wooden floor 🥳🥳
It is even sanded. I show you a sneak peek 🫣

I only have to sand down the bits that haven’t been sanded and fill some gaps and nail holes.
So happy. It will be beautiful once all done. This floor is over 100 years old.

You can’t get that good wood anymore. All is fast grown etc. this is slow growth…

It is worth a celebration. 🥳🥳

Now I can pull the living room, dining room and kitchen together in one look. So it looks in harmony when I am finished.
As the dining room has been (really badly) painted by previous owners, see photo, I will paint (a very light grey - winter grey) in all of the rooms the same colour on the floors. Except… I make in the kitchen a checkered theme. With a darker and the light grey.

Just look at this mess… some people have no idea what to do. It looks like they walked with the winter spikes under the shoes over it. I have to still fix a lot. The floor is badly damaged in the dining room.
