Who Art in Heaven
We sow our seeds in fertile soil
So they may grow throughout the season,
Then reap rewards aplenty
Proud and joyful of our toil.
I look up to other stars shining
Then marvel at how far they are;
I wonder if perchance there might
Be a harvester in heaven
For we may just be the pods
Of celestial farmers on a field
Who on starry nights look up
Knowing harvest season is near.

We're all just someone else's experiment. I used to think we lived in a snowglobe on some seven year olds shelf and one day we'd be thrown in the trash. Whatever, maybe he's only eight now or into snowglobe still, lol
That's actually a cool idea. Reminds me of the game It Takes Two in which you play as ragdoll in a miniature world inside a house. :D
Never heard of it but it would be cool to play as a kid I'm sure, get the imagination going at a young age.

Sometimes I like to visit the stars. Some don't think it's possible but I know a fungi or two that disagree with that notion :)

The harvest season (incl the celestial farmers) reminds me of the movie Jupiter Ascending. Tapping into source and downloading information can reveal some interesting patterns.You gotta love lifting the veil of illusion. Cool poem!
That looks like an interesting film and right up my alley. The theory of directed panspermia has been around for decades, and the current developments in AI have me thinking more about it. I do enjoy writing about themes in which the veil is lifted to show an alternate truth behind it. Thank you for reading, @kriszrokk!
I really enjoyed this one. I wasn’t sure how you were going to connect the thoughts in the first and second stanzas or where the poem was going to go, so the third stanza was a great surprise where everything came together well. I felt like I was taken on a little journey.
