The Mellow Colours of the Fall
The way we perceive colour is a fascinating affair that begins when light strikes the retina in our eyes, activating cells that react to short (blue), medium (green), and long (red) wavelengths. When the medium and long-sensitive cells combine inputs in the brain, then we perceive the colour yellow. There are also other conditions in which yellow can be perceived thanks to a host of complex neural processes that we still don't really understand. Suffice it to say, the fall is the perfect time to activate those yellow-loving photonic cells.

Windy day.

Any surface greater that 90 degrees is fair game for nature to reclaim.

It always amazes me how many trees are losing their leaves as temperatures drop but other trees become fruitful this time of the year.

A few leaves will remain green, warmed by the South Pacific winds but others will slowly turn colour and fall.

Absolutely wonderful, what beautiful colours!!!😍

It was a bright and sunny day with weaker sunlight than usual because of the season, so it greatly enhanced those vibrant colours.
You promised and you delivered! I love it, yes!!
The yellow of the vegetation, as well as the colors of the surroundings that you capture in your photos, evoke a truly pleasant feeling. Thank you and best regards, @litguru.
Thank you. The seasons are changing fast up north, and the colours are spectacular.
I wonder if you have harsh winters where you live?
Our winters are mild in comparison to the rest of Canada. It's mostly rain with the odd snow storm now and then. At higher elevations the environment gets cold, but thankfully, in the lower mainland where Vancouver is located, it remains slightly warm and lush. Is the winter cold where you live?
