the intelligence machine was a fridge that a frustrated wife talked to at night when she got hungry.

Indeed. I managed to write about 250 pages, but then I got dissatisfied with the whole plot at one point. And so I let it die...

Impressive! Maybe one day you can give it to an AI, so it'll finish it up. Just make sure you give it credit as co-author :D
