In Nature's Embrace

The trail came up to a wide open view of the slough. Tall grasses and reeds as far as the eye could see. The stillness and the silence. The Canada geese in the thicket eating grass. Through the air the scent of wild flowers. A gurgling stream. I thought about pure energy. Kinesthetic pleasures. This moment slowed to the vegetable speed of her kingdom.
