On the shore blown by a breeze
Across the expanse that we see
Embracing the land,
Cerulean blue skies
Endless miles of sand.

“Hey, where you’re from?
Nice.
I have a sister in a place called Winnipeg.”

The laughs and the dance
The mischievous chance
To live in the moment
That comes only once.

Tours, excursions, and dives.
Treats, drink, music, and dance,
Discovering natural treasures
An endless array of pleasures
A gourmet of sensual delights.

And that glorious heat of the sun,
Can’t escape it except
Barefoot on the water to cool
With the waves caressing our skin
As they quickly return and recede.

Turquoise azure aquamarine
Translucent and crystalline
A canvass of creation
A hand with steady intention
And a brush dipped in the colour of dreams.

The sand on our cheeks
In the turbulent flow
With salt on our lips
Hair knotted in weeds
That grow on the reefs
That rise and then sway
Entangled in waves
Roll back to the sea.
