As of last Tuesday, 2/18, We are homeowners. And this weekend we will be moving in. We were able to find a home that we could pay cash for so we won't have a mortgage loan. Just taxes and utilities.
During the 3 years we lived in my childhood family home with my Dad, we came to the realization that the layout here just wouldn't work for us on a permanent basis.

Thanks very much. To be honest, it was made possible because my husband inherited his sister's estate. She passed away last February. My Dad passed away this last December so my inheritance went in there too. My Mom has already been gone for almost five years. I think our loved ones would all be happy to know how we invested the money. We love to be at home. This fits our lifestyle to a T.
I'm sad to hear about your losses, but yes, I'm sure your relatives are happy knowing you used their money for a good purpose.
