The cat and mouse in Stella and Boyd

Stella and Boyd are siblings but they aren't so fond of each other but would be the flawless allies when they badly need something. The latter being the youngest, he knows how to get to their Mom(Maggie's) soft spot.

They are obsessed about the newly knitted socks from their mom, Maggie. Sweating over who gets to own it when Maggie barely puts the darning needle down. With all the fuss she doesn't know who to give it to so she'll probably have to knit another.

Laying beside the table on the pillow, the cat was so immersed in a nap that it could barely move. Stella took a snapshot of the woven socks resting on the couch.

Later on Maggie was swamped with some chores when Stella sluggishly walks up to her and says she wants Boyd to have the socks. The apperent change sounded fishy but she didn't think of it that much.

But after recalling that Boyd came to her moments earlier than Stella, Maggie finally knew exactly why Boyd was all over her begging for the extension of their bedtime curfew.
Turns out that Stella had told Boyd that he could have the woven socks if he manages to convince Mom.

Having already agreed, she can't withdraw her decision. Stella and her shadow Boyd have won.
Maggie reflects on their perfectly executed ploy and her cheeks pump up with a smile of admiration.
