Celebrating with pizzas, laughter and games [en/es]

Today, I want to share with all of you one of the most significant days for me, July 2. I have always considered, since I was very young that the number 2 is a special number and brings with it a great dose of good luck. Over the years, curiously, this day is the birthday of my son, @demoad, so it seems that being my favorite number was a design of destiny.

We had planned to enjoy some quiet time at home, after a visit to a little store that just opened where you can find very nice gifts. Over the years, I have adopted the habit of taking my son to buy clothes or something he needs on his birthday, as I want to make sure he gets something he will like and use with pleasure. Sometimes his tastes may differ from what I think, but I respect his individuality and always strive to understand and accommodate his preferences.

Hoy, quiero compartir con todos ustedes uno de los días más significativos para mi, el 2 de julio. Siempre he considerado, ddesde muy joven que el número 2 es un número especial y trae consigo una gran dosis de buena suerte. Al pasar de los años curiosamente, este día es el cumpleaños de mi hijo, @demoad, asi que parece que lo de ser mi numero preferido era un designio del destino.
Teníamos planeado disfrutar tranquilos en casa, despues de realizar una visita a una pequeña tienda que recien abrió donde se encuentran muy lindos regalos. A lo largo de los años, he adoptado la costumbre de llevar a mi hijo a comprar ropa o algo que necesite en su cumpleaños, ya que quiero asegurarme de que reciba algo que sea de su agrado y use con gusto. A veces, sus gustos pueden ser diferentes a lo que pienso, pero respeto su individualidad y siempre me esfuerzo por comprender y complacer sus preferencias .

The store we visited was a cozy fashion corner, with a selection of beautiful, high quality garments. My son chose an elegant pair of dark beige pants that enhanced his personal style. After trying it on and making sure it fit him perfectly, we headed home. Before arriving, we made a brief stop at a nearby coffee shop to enjoy a delicious coffee but we had to change our plans because a childhood friend of my son's phoned and was waiting for us at home, so we turned back.

La tienda que visitamos era un acogedor rincón de moda, con una selección de prendas preciosas y de gran calidad. Mi hijo eligió un elegante pantalón beige oscuro que realzaba su estilo personal. Tras probárselo y asegurarnos de que le quedaba perfecto, nos dirigimos a casa. Antes de llegar, hicimos una breve parada en una cafetería cercana para disfrutar de un delicioso café, pero tuvimos que cambiar de planes porque un amigo de la infancia de mi hijo llamó por teléfono y nos estaba esperando en casa, así que dimos media vuelta.

When we arrived home, we were met by my son's best childhood friends who had arrived earlier to make sure that my son's special day would be truly unforgettable. They brought him a delicious chocolate cake to celebrate this special day. Gradually more friends arrived, filling the space with laughter and joy. Everyone was concerned about his well-being, considering that he is temporarily separated from his wife, who is currently living in Spain. Our family and close friends made sure that this day was special and full of affection.

Al llegar a casa, nos esperaban los mejores amigos de la infancia de mi hijo había llegado antes para asegurarse de que el día especial de mi hijo fuera realmente inolvidable. Le trajeron una deliciosa tarta de chocolate para celebrar este día tan especial. Poco a poco fueron llegando más amigos, llenando el espacio de risas y alegría. Todos se preocupaban por su bienestar, teniendo en cuenta que está temporalmente separado de su mujer, que reside actualmente en España. Nuestra familia y amigos cercanos se aseguraron de que este día fuera especial y lleno de afecto.

My husband, one of my son's friends and I decided to order pizzas and tacos for the evening. We ventured to a pizzeria near the house called La Chela, which is tiny but provides very good and fast service. Upon returning home with the delicious food options, we continued to share, amidst laughter and anecdotes and while we savored the pizzas, the evening continued with a game of dominoes, in which we were all determined to win. And guess what! This time, I was the winner, which unleashed a friendly hubbub amidst laughter and jokes.

Mi marido, uno de los amigos de mi hijo y yo decidimos pedir pizzas y tacos para la noche. Nos aventuramos a una pizzería cercana a la casa llamada La Chela, que es pequeñita pero brinda un servicio muy bueno y rápido. Al regresar a casa con las deliciosas opciones de comida, seguimos compartiendo, entre risas y anécdotas y mientras saboreábamos las pizzas, la velada continuamos con una partida de dominó, en la que todos estábamos decididos a ganar. Y ¡adivinen qué! Esta vez, yo fui el ganador, lo que desató una algarabía amistosa entre risas y bromas.

To add a touch of intellectual challenge, plus we love it, we decided to play Scrabble. On this occasion, my son showed his skill and took the win. We really enjoyed this healthy competition and the camaraderie that filled the room, my son's friends always indulge in it without qualms.

Para añadir un toque de desafío intelectual, ademas que nos encanta decidimos jugar al Scrabble. En esta ocasión, mi hijo demostró su habilidad y se llevó la victoria. Disfrutábamos mucho esta sana competición y la camaradería que llenaba la sala, los amigos de mi hijo siempre se entregan a ella sin reparos.

Then came the moment when we all sang "Happy Birthday". The kids couldn't hold the laughter because I tried to put many candles but in the end there were not enough, my son is already a 28 year old man hahaha, there were too many, this was just a joke.

Without expecting it we spent a day full of emotions, laughter and the warmth of his usual friends. The music set the mood for our meeting. Seeing my son smile and enjoy was the most important thing for me. See you soon friends, that's how I spent the day!

Después llegó el momento en el que todos cantamos el "cumpleaños feliz". Los chicos no aguantaron la risa porque intenté poner muchas velas pero al final no fueron suficientes, mi hijo ya es un hombre de 28 años jajaja, eran demasiadas, esto era solo una broma.
Sin esperarlo pasamos un día lleno de emociones, risas y el calor de sus amigos de siempre. La música ambientó nuestro encuentro. Ver a mi hijo sonreír y disfrutar fue lo más importante para mí. Hasta pronto amigos, ¡así pasé el día!
