Hi everyone, today I want to show you one of the unique species that I found in the wild, the species looks helpless and it only made a few small movements when I approached it to capture some pictures, the species is popularly known as "Parmarion martensi" and is very easy to find in tropical forests and especially in areas with humid and cool conditions.

Parmarion martensi is a species of land mollusk that is quite unique because it is included in the semi-slug snail group, but unlike land snails in general which have large shells to protect their bodies, while Parmarion martensi only has a hard shell-shaped skin but is not enough to cover its entire slimy body, and this uniqueness makes Parmarion martensi interesting to study, especially in terms of ecology and its impact on the environment.

Morphologically, Parmarion martensi has an elongated body measuring around 4 cm, its body is brown and equipped with quite thick mucus, the mucus functions well to help their movement and protect their bodies from being wet throughout life, the skin of the body that has a shell-like shape is located on the back of the body but the shell does not serve as the main protector for their bodies.
