The harvest time is the sweetest time, the best moment for a farmer.

"There is an appointed time for everything, A time for every activity under the heavens, A time to plant and a time to uproot what was planted." You all can agree with me that the harvest time is the sweetest time, the best moment for a farmer. A time you see and enjoy the fruit of your labour, an incomparable joy to behold.

Today, we went to farm to harvest our corn before thief's will help us harvest it as they normally do. So I and my mum already planned to harvest the corn yesterday but due to a heavy down pour we couldn't accomplish that so we left it for today.

"A stitch in time saves nine" you know, meaning it's better to fix a problem when it is small than to wait and let it become a bigger problem. Last year, while waiting for the due time to harvest our corn, thief's had already harvested some parts of the farm which is heartbreaking.

This year is no different, as we got to farm this morning we noticed that some of the corn had been harvested by thiefs, very heart breaking. Imagine the pain of working under the sun, rain, buying manure, the time it took applying them and someone comfortably come to your farm and harvest it.

Very bad and heartbreaking right? That's what we see every year in this part of the country and we can't do anything about it. In as much there is hunger everywhere but that's not a justification to steal. I hope the stealer steal no more one day.

Though our farm did not do well this year... I'm grateful for the ones we have.
After harvesting, we went home, since the corn is many, we sell some, eat some and store some for next year farming. I think that's what a good farmer do, you start in time to prepare for the next farming session.
