+ My Game Activity and My Achievements in Season 160
Several new features were introduced on Splinterlands today, June 17, 2025.
The Wild Format has been reactivated after a two-season break (May 15 - June 17) in which the Splinterlands team made changes and improvements.
There are some new features that also involve the new game mode recently introduced by Splinterlands: the Campaign Mode.
In fact, new chapters and the prologue have been added in BOOK 1 - WAUR MEDGE ACADEMY.
With these additions there are more GLINT and more cards to be earned by playing in Campaign Mode.
In the SHOP->EXLUSIVE section, it is no longer possible to purchase Kelan Gaines with Vouchers.
You can now purchase the Fire element epic card Tasoshi Drakamoto.
Each single copy (1 BCX) of Tasoshi Drakamoto has a cost of 250 VOUCHER and the purchase of 50 cards in a single transaction guarantees 1 Gold Foil copy.
The probability of finding a Gold Foil card is 2% while the probability of finding a Black Foil card is 0.025% which can be doubled by using potions.
For the highest level it is necessary to buy 46 BCX and spend a total of 11500 Vouchers whose value in DEC using the DEC:VOUCHER pool is 355334.11 DEC.

Today, June 17, there was also the snapshot of each player's amount of staked SPS to determine how many copies of Yaba's Pickle card each player can purchase during the General Sale beginning June 24, 2025.
I who had 137803 SPS staked at the time the snapshot was taken will be able to purchase a maximum of 137 cards (Pickle limit).
The cost per single card will be 150 DEC or 150 credits.
My game activity and results in season 160 (Modern Format and Wild Format)
On Splinterlands, in Ranked Play, season 161 is underway and will end in 12 days and about 15 hours.
In season 160 I played:
- in the Modern Format with @libertycrypto27 (my main account) -> Cards
- in the Wild Format with @libertygame27 (my curation account for SPT tokens) -> Cards
The Modern Format is always my favorite format because there are no bots and I can enjoy playing against human players like me.
During season 160 I had very little free time and out of a potential of about 375 battles I could play I only played 126 battles.
I finished the season at rank 126 on the Diamond leaderboard with a rating = 3340 points
The highest league I achieved during the season was the Diamond II league and I received an end-of-season reward of 36930 GLINT.
With only 126 battles played and 71 wins, I earned 400.51 SPS (Ranked Rewards).
My seasonal earnings in Modern Format were $3.32.
In the Wild Format I would like to play manually like in the Modern Format but in this format there are bots.
Playing manually against bots does not sound good for me so I also use a bot in the Wild Format: XBOT.
In the next two images you can see the game sessions that XBOT played for me in the Wild Format.
I finished the season at rank 533 in the Champion leaderboard with a rating = 3860 points
The highest league I achieved during the season was the Champion III league and I received an end-of-season reward of 58102 GLINT.
With 168 battle wins and 50K SPS staked (delegated from my main account) I earned 261.22 SPS (Ranked Rewards) which however is not my net earnings because XBOT takes 20% in fees.
My net seasonal gain in SPS was 208.98 SPS.
To play in season 160 of the Wild Format I purchased the Wild Pass which cost me 2000 DEC.
Considering costs and rewards the financial result in Wild Format was negative: -$0.13
I purchased the Wild Pass a day late and with one more session I would probably have reached the break-even point or made a very small profit.
But at this point the question for me is: Why do I have to continue (un)playing in the Wild Format if the only one making a profit is XBOT?
In my opinion the Wild Pass has been useful in eliminating bot-farms but it is also something that displeases human players who have wild cards because in addition to being forced not to have fun against bots they also have to pay and end the season in the negative...
With a card collection consisting of 198 cards = 20202 BCX = 461080 CP (Market Value: $1162) and 50K SPS staked I ended season 160 in Wild Format with a loss of - $0.13.
I will do another season of testing in the Wild Format only for evaluation and study purpose otherwise I should stop my Wild Format adventure immediately.
I hope Splinterlands and the big SPS stakeholders realize how counterproductive it is to force human players to play Wild cards in the Wild Format against bots and also to pay for the Wild Pass...
The only positive note is that I am making progress in upgrading the Reward Rebellion cards and thanks to the Glints I earned in season 160 I have completed the upgrade of the common type Reward Rebellion cards.
In season 160 with my two accounts (libertycrypto27 and libertygame27) I earned a total of $3.19.

In the current season I will do one last season of testing in the Wild Format in which:
- I will use only the cards that XBOT uses the most.
- I will use the other cards to play in Survival Mode.
Today I also increased the delegation in SPS for my account playing in the Wild Format: 50K -> 70K.
If in season 161 my results in Wild Format will be as disappointing as those I recorded in season 160 I will change my strategy:
- I will no longer play in the Wild Format
- I will continue to play in the Modern Format
- I will only use my Wild cards to play in Survival Mode which has no entry fees.
I conclude this post by sharing my latest and most recent battle played in Modern Format.

Oggi 17 giugno 2025 sono state introdotte diverse novità su Splinterlands.
Il Wild Format è stato riattivato dopo una pausa durata due stagioni (15 maggio - 17 giugno) in cui il team di Splinterlands ha apportato dei cambiamenti e dei miglioramenti.
Ci sono delle novità che riguardano anche la nuova modalità di gioco introdotta di recente da Splinterlands: the Campaign Mode.
Infatti nel BOOK 1 - WAUR MEDGE ACADEMY sono stati aggiunti nuovi capitoli e il prologo.
Con queste aggiunte ci sono altri GLINT e altre carte da guadagnare giocando nella Campaing Mode.
Nella sezione SHOP->EXLUSIVE non è più possibile acquistare Kelan Gaines con i Voucher.
Adesso è possibile acquistare la carta epica dell'elemento Fire Tasoshi Drakamoto
Ogni singola copia (1 BCX) di Tasoshi Drakamoto ha un un costo di 250 VOUCHER e l'acquisto di 50 carte in un'unica transazione garantisce 1 copia Gold Foil.
La probabilità di trovare una carta Gold Foil è del 2% mentre la probabilità di trovare una carta Black Foil è del 0.025% raddoppiabile utilizzando le pozioni.

Oggi 17 giugno c'è stato anche lo snapshot del quantitativo di SPS staked di ogni giocatore per stabilire quante copie della carta Yaba's Pickle ogni giocatore potrà acquistare durante la General Sale che inizierà il 24 giugno 2025.
Io che avevo 137803 SPS staked nel momento in cui è stato effettuato lo snapshot potrò acquistare al massimo 137 carte (Pickle limit).
Il costo per singola carta sarà di 150 DEC o 150 credits.
La mia attività di gioco e i miei risultati nella stagione 160 (Modern Format e Wild Format)
Su Splinterlands, nel Ranked Play, è in corso la stagione 161 che terminerà tra 12 giorni e circa 15 ore.
Nella stagione 160 ho giocato:
- nel Modern Format con @libertycrypto27 (il mio account principale) -> Cards
- nel Wild Format con @libertygame27 (il mio curation account per i token SPT) -> Cards
Il Modern Format è sempre il mio formato preferito perchè non ci sono i bots e posso divertirmi a giocare contro giocatori umani come me.
Durante la stagione 160 ho avuto molto poco tempo libero e su un potenziale di circa 375 battaglie che potevo giocare ho giocato solo 126 battaglie.
Ho terminato la stagione al rank 126 della leaderboard Diamond con un rating = 3340 punti
La lega più alta che ho raggiunto durante la stagione è stata la lega Diamond II e ho ricevuto una ricompensa di fine stagione di 36930 GLINT.

Nel Wild Format mi piacerebbe giocare manualmente come nel Modern Format ma in questo formato ci sono i bots.
Giocare manualmente contro i bots non mi piace e quindi anche io uso un bot nel Wild Format: XBOT.

Considerando i costi e le rewards il risultato finanziario nel Wild Format è stato negativo: -0.13$
Ho acquistato il Wild Pass con un giorno di ritardo e con una sessione in più avrei probabilmente raggiunto il punto di pareggio oppure avrei ottenuto un piccolissimo profitto.
Ma a questo punto la domanda che mi pongo è: Perchè devo continuare a (non)giocare nel Wild Format se l'unico che ci guadagna è XBOT?
Il Wild Pass è stato utile per eliminare le bot-farms ma è anche un elemento che punisce i giocatori umani che hanno wild cards e che oltre a essere costretti a non divertirsi contro i bots devono pure pagare e chiudere la stagione in negativo...
Con una collezione di carte composta da 198 carte = 20202 BCX = 461080 CP (Market Value: 1162$) e 50K SPS staked ho chiuso la stagione 160 nel Wild Format con una perdita di - 0.13$.
Farò un'altra stagione di test nel Wild Format solo per scopo di valutazione e studio altrimenti dovrei interrompere immediatamente la mia avventura nel Wild Format.
Spero che Splinterlands e i grandi SPS stakeholders si accorgano di quanto è controproducente costringere i giocatori umani a giocare con le Wild cards nel Wild Format contro i bots e anche a pagare il Wild Pass...
L'unica nota positiva è che sto facendo dei passi in avanti nell'upgrade delle carte Reward Rebellion e grazie ai Glint che ho guadagnato nella stagione 160 ho completato l'upgrade delle carte Reward Rebellion di tipo comune.
Nella stagione 160 con i miei due accounts (libertycrypto27 e libertygame27) ho guadagnato in totale 3.19$.

Nella stagione in corso farò un ultima stagione di test nel Wild Format in cui:
- utilizzerò solo le carte che XBOT usa di più
- userò le altre carte per giocare nel Survival Mode
Oggi ho anche aumentato la delega in SPS per il mio account che gioca nel Wild Format: 50K -> 70K.
Se nella stagione 161 i miei risultati nel Wild Format saranno deludenti come quelli che ho registrato nella stagione 160 cambierò strategia:
- non giocherò più nel Wild Format
- continuerò a giocare nel Modern Format
- utilizzerò le mie Wild cards solo per giocare nel Survival Mode che non ha costi di iscrizione.

I am glad to see that there are new chapters in campaign mode. My modern deck isn't that powerful, and having more cards will always be more useful.
Sempre più sbalordito dal fatto che nel wild format il bot finisca addirittura in negativo... con oltre 1000$ di carte e 50k SPS riuscire a malapena a recuperare il costo del wild pass è preoccupante.

Il Wild format è ufficialmente e da tempo il whale format, spero che i risultati nel Survival siano incoraggianti perchè altrimenti le wild cards saranno sempre meno attrattive e di conseguenza anche le altre carte perchè dopo la rotazione saranno wild cards.

That's some really good stake you had there. The Pickle limit seems fair, keeps the whales from gobbling up everything while still rewarding long term holders like yourself. Should be some decent cards in that batch
I’m still figuring things out, but reading your experience with Wild vs. Modern really helps. Totally agree that playing against bots takes the fun away sometimes it’s more exciting when it’s human vs. human.
I am thinking to stop buying the wild pass. How do you calculate the profit, do you have a link or your own formula?
