Splinterlands: "To Wild or Not to Wild: Evaluating My Splinterlands Future"
I started playing Splinterlands in September 2019 and it was immediately love at first sight.
More than 6 years after my first battle Splinterlands is still my favorite blockchain-based game even though I only like to play in the game modes that ban automations (bots and battle helpers).
From September 2019 to now I have always played manually with my main account, libertycrypto27, because Splinterlands is a fun game for me.
With libertycrypto27 I have played:
- 15277 battles in the Modern Format
- 25558 battles in the Wild Format
- 114 battles in the Survival Mode
On Splinterlands it is possible and allowed to play with multiple accounts and I have used, several times though not continuously, my curation account for SPT tokens, to test in the Wild Format using automations.
In fact in the Wild Format it is allowed and permitted to use bots and battle helpers and with libertygame27 I used XBOT.
I have shared my results and rewards using XBOT in the Wild Format in some of my previous posts such as the post you can read by clicking on the next link.

---|
I stopped my experiment after 4 seasons in which the financial results had been negative.
I would very much like the Wild Format to be free of automatons as well but my thinking is not shared by Splinterlands and some big SPS stakeholders and that is why I resumed testing my collection of wild cards in the Wild Format starting with season 159.
After the Chaos Legion set came out of the Modern Format I reactivated my testing in the Wild Format, delegated all my wild cards to libertygame27 and, starting with season 159, resumed playing in the Wild Format as well.
As you can see from the next two images, the results I got in the Wild Format in seasons 159 and 160 were not "exciting."
![]() | ![]() |
---|
In season 159, the wild pass was deactivated and the financial results were positive: +2.41$
In season 160, the cost of the Wild Pass and XBOT fees exceeded my gain in SPS and I ended the season with a slight loss: -0.13$
In the current season, season 161, I increased my delegation in SPS to libertygame27: 50K SPS -> 70K SPS.
My earnings have increased and in fact if I consider a time interval of 14 days, using XBOT I have earned (334.41 SPS - XBOT fees) = 267.53 SPS.

267.53 SPS are worth 2177.34 DEC and so in season 161 I have already recouped the Wild Pass cost but this gain is so small that I don't see a reason to continue playing in the Wild Pass if it weren't for the GLINT tokens that I can use to upgrade Soulbound Rebellion cards.

I will wait until the end of the current season but most likely starting next season I will stop playing in the Wild Format and try my collection of Wild cards solely in Survival Mode where bots are allowed (I don't like this) but there is no Wild Pass.
The goodness of my probable future choice (not to play in the Wild Format) is also reinforced by the fact that I would have probably made much more profit if I had chosen to rent my Wild cards instead of using them in the Wild Format.
In fact today I used the useful tool created by my friend @arc7icwolf to see the ROI and avg rental price of my top level Chaos Legion rare summoners.

Just by renting my rare Chaos Legion summoners I could have earned more than 120 DEC per day which is almost as much as XBOT earned per day playing in the Wild Format.
In my future on Splinterlands:
- there is definitely Modern Format, the most fun format for me!
- In all likelihood there will be no more Wild Format for me.
This will be my choice as long as there are bots in this format and/or as long as there is Wild Pass. - In the next season I will test in Survival Mode where I will use all my Wild cards and use XBOT.
If even my results in Survival Mode will not be satisfactory I will evaluate other options such as renting all my Wild cards and/or selling the cards that are of little use in Survival Mode.
My main goal on Splinterlands for the near future will be to increase the battle strength of my card collection in Modern Format.
Everything I earn from using my Wild Cards (rent, play, land) I will invest to buy or upgrade cards that can be used in the Modern Format.
Today I chose to convert my VOUCHERs to DEC.
In fact even though VOUCHERs are in-game items they can be converted via in-game pools.
From the conversion I received 17585.40 DEC which I will use to purchase cards or packs of cards of the Arcana Conclave set.
I could have used my VOUCHERS to purchase copies of the Tasoshi Drakamoto card.
I opted for a different choice for two reasons:
- I did not have an amount of VOUCHERs to buy 50 cards to have a guaranteed Gold card
- the cost of 1 copy of Tasoshi Drakamoto in the Market is less than the conversion value of 250 VOUCHER to DEC.
In fact, from the conversion of 250 VOUCHERs you can receive 5317 DECs.
The cost of 1 copy of Tasoshi Drakamoto in the Market is 4276.14 DEC.
I hope I have given you useful information and some interesting thoughts and thank you for taking the time to read this post :)

![]() | 4 Seasons of Using XBOT in the Wild Format: Results, Considerations and My Next Steps |
---|

I don't know when Survival mode will be activated, but I plan to also play there because it has NO WILD PASS. wild pass is very expensive, playing without a lot of staked SPS means you don't get to make your SPS back.
Who Are The Leaders of Hive?
Hive, a blockchain born of rebellion against centralization, now stands at a crossroads. Its ethos—decentralized, community-driven, and free—is shadowed by a corrosive reality: the unchecked power of entities like @themarkymark and @buildawhale, whose coordinated downvotes and acrimonious tactics have driven creators to despair. This is not governance; it is a tyranny of silence.
The Illusion of Leadership
Hive has no crowned sovereign. Its “leaders” are stewards: developers refining code, witnesses securing consensus, and communities shaping culture. Yet power, as history teaches, consolidates in vacuums. When accounts with vast Hive Power (HP) weaponize downvotes to stifle dissent, they erode the very democracy Hive was built to protect. This is not leadership—it is oligarchy masquerading as order.
The Exodus and the Alternative
Creators flee. Talented voices, weary of punitive curation, migrate to platforms like Blurt, where downvotes are absent and dialogue thrives. Blurt’s rise will be no accident; its simplicity—a sanctuary from Hive’s toxicity—highlights a fatal flaw in our ecosystem. A single change here could tip the scales. Imagine Blurt embraced by investors, listed on centralized exchanges, and fortified by liquidity. It needs only a catalyst.
A Plea for Unity—and Action
We cannot wait. Each downvoted post is a fracture in Hive’s foundation. To stem the exodus, we demand:
Bilpcoin’s Pledge
The Bilpcoin team stands with Hive. We will:
The Hour Is Now
Hive’s promise—a haven for free expression—hangs in the balance. Will we cling to infighting, or rise as a community? The tools for change are ours: blockchain transparency, collective will, and the courage to demand better.
Join us. Audit wallets. Question power. Post fearlessly. Together, we can reclaim Hive’s soul—or watch its light dim as Blurt rises.
The choice is ours. Let it be written in history that we chose wisely.
Hive leadership crisis, decentralized governance reform, Blurt vs Hive, Bilpcoin transparency, blockchain accountability, downvote ethics.
#HiveTransparency #CommunityOverCensorship
@themarkymark @buildawhale & Co
You wield downvotes like a weapon, striking indiscriminately at whoever displeases you, whenever it suits your whim. And why? Why do you call people names as though their humanity is secondary to your ego? Is this how you justify your behavior—to diminish others so they might seem less worthy of fairness? You claim disdain for AI on Hive, yet your inner circle freely employs it without consequence. No downvotes for them, only for those outside your charmed circle. Tell us, why are you so selective in whom you punish and whom you protect?

@themarkymark & Co.,
We are being completely honest here, and you know it. The transactions don’t lie—you cannot escape this, no matter who you bring in to back you up. It won’t work. You’ve already exposed many of those close to you, so let’s be clear: WE ARE NOT TROLLING YOU. WE ARE SIMPLY SHARING THE TRUTH. And the Bilpcoin team is far from stupid. Calling us names changes nothing—it only fuels our determination to work harder.
IT’S OVER.
SPEAK UP. MAKE NOISE. TAKE A STAND.
Key Issues That Demand Immediate Attention:
The problems are glaring, undeniable, and corrosive to the Hive ecosystem. They must be addressed without delay:
These practices do not just harm individual users—they undermine the very foundation of Hive, eroding trust and poisoning the community. Such actions are not only unethical but outright destructive.

The blockchain data tells the story plainly and clearly. We are not fabricating these claims; we are merely presenting what is already visible for all to see. As we’ve repeatedly urged @themarkymark & Co—the solution is simple: STOP.
SO PLEASE STOP. It’s time to do what’s right for Hive and its community. Why cling to practices that harm others? Power down, step away, and let Hive thrive as it was meant to. You bring nothing positive to this ecosystem.
THOSE WHO ARE WATCHING—THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU.
PLEASE STOP.
@themarkymark, Can You Explain Why the Bilpcoin Team’s Accounts Are on Your Blacklist?
@themarkymark We understand you’re a fan of data—so are we. After all, data is king, and when it comes to blockchain, transactions don’t lie and can’t be changed.
