The New Frontier Draws Are Live!
+ My Daily Game Activity in Frontier Format
On 18 July 2025, Splinterlands announced the release of a new game format completely free to play: the Frontier Mode.
Today 12 August 2025 Splinterlands announced the activation of Frontier Draws.
The Frontier Draws are a new reward mechanism for those playing in the Frontier Format.
With the introduction of Frontier Draws, completing a quest in the Frontier Format (winning 5 battles) allows you to receive an additional reward for the weekly Frontier Draw.
In fact, every week there will be a draw in which 76 cards of the Foundation set will be distributed.
There will be approximately 105 weekly draws in which will be distributed in total:
- 5920 Black Foil Foundation cards
- 1470 Gold Arcane Fondation cards
- 592 Black Foil Arcane Foundation cards
I really like the Frontier Format because it is a completely free-to-play entry point for new players and of course I also really liked the introduction of Frontier Draws which will be an added incentive to play in this format especially for new players.

On Splinterlands my favourite format in Ranked Play has always been the Modern Format because I don't enjoy playing against bots and because I only enjoy playing with human players like myself.
The introduction of the Frontier Format has doubled my fun in Ranked Play because also in the Frontier Format as in the Modern Format you cannot use bots and I am very happy to have two formats available to enjoy playing manually.
I was out of town for two days and for this reason I was not very active on Hive and Hive based games in the previous two days.
Today I resumed playing on Splinterlands and started my daily game session right from the Frontier Format with the goal of earning my first Frontier draw entries.
I went to the Play->Ranked-Frontier section and clicked on Battle.
I started my daily game session in the best way: with a victory!
In the first battle I met an opponent who used a battle formation very similar to mine because the battle formations differed by only one card: my opponent used Kanaaq Miner while I used Vengeful Monk.
The choice to use Vengeful Monk and the different card placement rewarded me and I won the battle.
To unlock the first two daily rewards, I played 25 battles.
On the main page of Frontier Mode, I clicked on CLAIM.
I chose not to use the potions because I want to save them for when I open the Arcana Conclave packs.
In the next image you can see what I found inside the three chests that I received and immediately opened.
I found:
- 1 Dread Tafarian Gold
- 1 Lunaki Howler
- 2 Entries
Even though I found Dread Tafarian Gold which starts at level 3 I won't be able to use it at this level in battles until I've upgraded the summoner Aurelia to level 2, but if I'm persistent in playing and also have a bit of luck sooner or later I'll also increase the level of my usable archons in the Frontier format.
I stopped my game activity without completing the third daily quest because I ran out of free time but later on I will try to win 5 more battles to also complete the third daily quest and receive another Foundation card and another entry for the Frontier Draw.
Looking at the Bronze ranking I'm not doing my best in the current season because I'm far behind in the rank but I'll try to improve my game results!
I started this post by showing you the first battle I played today, and I conclude this post by showing you the last battle I played in Frontier Mode.
If you've never played Splinterlands and want to try this fun game I recommend starting with Frontier Mode because you can learn the dynamics of the game in absolutely free mode!

I Frontier Draws sono un nuovo meccanismo di ricompensa per chi gioca nel Frontier Format.
Con l'introduzione dei Frontier Draws completare una quest nel Frontier Format (vincere 5 battaglie) permette di ricevere come premio aggiuntivo delle entrate per il Frontier Draw settimanale.
Infatti ogni settimana ci sarà una estrazione nella quale saranno distribuite 76 carte del set Foundation.
Ci saranno approssimativamente 105 draws settimanali nei quali saranno distribuite in totale:
- 5920 Black Foil Foundation cards
- 1470 Gold Arcane Fondation cards
- 592 Black Foil Arcane Foundation cards
Mi piace molto il Frontier Format perchè è un punto di ingresso completamente free to play per i nuovi giocatori e naturalmente mi è piaciuta molto anche l'introduzione dei Frontier Draws che saranno un ulteriore incentivo per giocare in questo formato soprattutto per i nuovi giocatori.

Su Splinterlands il mio formato preferito nel Ranked Play è sempre stato il Modern Format perchè non mi diverto a giocare contro i bots e perchè mi diverto solo quando gioco con giocatori umani come me.
L'introduzione del Frontier Format ha raddoppiato il mio divertimento nel ranked play perchè anche nel Frontier Format come nel Modern Format non è possibile utilizzare i bots e sono molto contento di avere due formati a disposizione per divertirmi a giocare manualmente.
Sono stato fuori città per due giorni e per questo motivo sono stato poco attivo su Hive e sugli Hive based games.
Oggi ho ripreso a giocare su Splinterlands e ho iniziato la mia sessione di gioco giornaliera proprio dal Frontier Format con l'obiettivo di guadagnare le mie prime Frontier draw entries.
Sono andato nella sezione Play->Ranked-Frontier è ho cliccato su Battle.
Ho iniziato la mia sessione di gioco giornaliera nel modo migliore: con una vittoria!
Nella prima battaglia ho incontrato un avversario che ha utilizzato una formazione di battaglia molto simile alla mia perchè le formazioni di battaglia differivano per una sola carta: il mio avversario ha utilizzato Kanaaq Miner mentre io ho utilizzato Vengeful Monk.
La scelta di usare Vengeful Monk e il diverso posizionamento delle carte mi ha premiato e ho vinto la battaglia.
Per sbloccare le prime due ricompense giornaliere ho giocato 25 battaglie.
Nella pagina principale del Frontier Mode ho cliccato su CLAIM.
Ho scelto di non utilizzare le pozioni perchè voglio conservarle per quando apro i pacchi Conclave Arcana.
Nella prossima immagine puoi vedere cosa ho trovato all'interno dei tre chests che ho ricevuto ed ho subito aperto.
Ho trovato:
- 1 Dread Tafarian Gold
- 1 Lunaki Howler
- 2 Entries
Anche se ho trovato Dread Tafarian Gold che parte dal livello 3 non potrò utilizzarlo a questo livello nelle battaglie fino a quando non avrò fatto l'upgrade al livello 2 dell'evocatore Aurelia ma se avrò costanza nel giocare e se avrò anche un pizzico di fortuna prima o poi aumenterò anche il livello dei miei archons utilizzabili nel Frontier format.
Ho interrotto la mia attività di gioco senza completare la terza quest giornaliera perchè ho finito il tempo libero a mia disposizione ma più tardi proverò a vincere altre 5 battaglie per completare anche la terza quest giornaliera e ricevere un'altra Foundation card e un'altra entry per il Frontier Draw.
Guardando la classifica Bronze non sto dando il meglio di me nella stagione in corso perchè sono molto indietro nel rank ma proverò a migliorare i miei risultati di gioco!

People are learning a lot from your daily game routine about how to succeed in this game.
The frontier mode has been more enjoyable than I expected. Ironically I also got a gold foils Dread Tafarian today. I sold mine since I think it will be awhile before I can level up my archons enough to play it.
This game really needs efforts to succeed
I haven't done much Frontier mode, but its nice to see that you get more card draws in higher leagues. I guess it pays off to move up higher in the leagues to get more copies of the card.
Absolutely loving this new format !, I have actually spent some DEC to lvl up key cards and have three Archons to lvl 3 now (Fire, Water, Death).
SO far I have clawed my way into Silver two, and I say "claw" because it wasn't easy, but it was fun.
What I like most is that this format is essentially a blank slate, everyone started at the same level a couple of weeks ago, and everyone has the same opportunity to progress and play in the ecosystem as a beginner.
Games were tough , because the card pool is limited, but that's OK, there are no bots and I'm playing against humans, so any defeats are someone else's victory. I like that.
The meta is relatively simple. I am looking forward to when I do eventually pull one of those cards great cards that add significant power to my deck, like the 2 magic damage water sneak ( 3 damage with the Water Archon).
The card market for Foundation cards also seems lively, so I have the option to sell any rewards I may earn and not need ( but I NEED them all!!!..lol!).
Oh! and there is actually one card I may eventually work into my Modern deck, the Life Uland ranged attacker, a great synergy with the Bloodline Tribute Life Ulund which I have recently maxed, along with most of the other Ulunds. Now I just need to get my CA Life Archon, Bella, higher than Silver lvl. That will take a while, she is still expensive, but, hey!, maybe we get some form of league locks back soon and I can build out a killer Silver deck !!
Here’s a concise step-by-step guide to help you trade TVST on https://hive-engine.com/trade/TVST using Hive Keychain either on your browser extension or on your mobile phone:

Upon first opening Keychain, set up a password (PIN) to secure the extension or app.
Import your Hive account by selecting “Use keys/pwd”, and enter your Hive username and Master Password (or Active/Posting key). This grants Keychain authority to manage your account.
Once Keychain is set, it’ll intercept transaction requests for you to approve.
Log into Hive-Engine
Navigate to hive-engine.com, then head to the trade/TVST page.

Fund Your Hive-Engine Wallet (If Needed)
To trade TVST, you need a balance—either HIVE or another token to swap.
• Use the “Deposit” function (often found in the wallet section) to move HIVE from the main chain into your Hive-Engine wallet by swapping HIVE for SWAP.HIVE… Expect a small fee (around 0.75%).
• Confirm the deposit with Hive Keychain when prompted.
On the /trade/TVST page:
• You’ll see the order book: current bids, asks, and your available TVST balance.
• Choose whether to buy or sell.
• For a sell order, click the available TVST balance or highest bid and enter the amount, then click “Sell TVST.”
Once your order is complete:
• A confirmation popup from Hive Keychain will appear—approve it to execute the trade.
• If you match an existing order, the trade executes immediately; if not, your order will remain open until filled.
• Check the Wallet or History sections to track your trades, balances, and any pending orders. Hive-Engine may also show your trading history.
• If you wish to convert tokens back into HIVE, use the “Withdraw” function—again confirming via Keychain.
