My Seasonal Results, My Progress in Upgrading Soubound Cards and My Next Seasonal Goal
On Splinterlands, time is marked by seasons that last approximately 15 days.
There is less than a day left until the end of the current season, season 167.
Season 167 ended a few hours ago, and season 168 has begun, which will end in 15 days and 15 hours.
In this post, I share my analysis of the results and rewards I achieved playing in season 167.
At the beginning of season 167, I had set two goals:
- to reach at least Diamond III league in the Modern Format
- to play consistently in the Gold leagues of the Frontier Format
I achieved half of my goals at the beginning of the season because in the Frontier Format I finished the season in Gold III league, where I played throughout the season = goal achieved!
In the Modern Format, I finished the season in the Gold I league with a rating of 2600 points, 200 points away from the Diamond III league = goal not achieved!
Between Modern Format and Frontier Format, I played a total of 629 battles in season 167.
Frontier Format and Modern Format are my favorite formats in Ranked Play
In Modern Format, I “stalled” in Gold I league, taking steps forward and backward without getting very close to Diamond III league.
However, I am happy to have reached 21st place in the Modern Format Gold leaderboard, which allowed me to receive 50K GLINT as an end-of-season reward.
I am very interested in GLINT rewards because, after completing the upgrade of common and rare reward rebellion soulbound cards, I would also like to complete the upgrade of epic cards.
Today I spent 112,500 GLINT to purchase 15 EPIC DRAWS.
In the following images, you can see the cards I found.
Thanks to the cards I found in the epic draws, I was able to make a very interesting upgrade that I think will be very useful in battle.
Today I upgraded Olivia of the Brook: level 4 -> level 5
Olivia of the Brook is a card I really like and use often in battle, and now that she has gained an extra melee attack point, I will use her even more!
I've made progress in upgrading all my epic reward cards, but I don't have any max-level epic cards yet, even though I'm very close to completing the upgrades for:
- Thanalorian Blade: I'm 2 copies short of max level
- Kha'zi Conjurer: I'm 3 copies short of max level
- Halfling Refugee: I'm 3 copies short of max level
Today I also made another interesting upgrade: Sergeant Grauzral: level 1 -> level 2
In the current season, I will have two higher-level cards available to try to reach Diamond III league in Modern Format.
As for game rewards, in season 167 I earned a total of 849.52 SPS.
My gaming activity in Modern Format is my main source of SPS token growth: +549.64 SPS.
My Rental Report was negative: -224.46 DEC
But the two top-level summoners I rented greatly improved my results in the Modern Format and, consequently, my SPS earnings.
So my total seasonal balance was positive because:
- I earned 849.52 SPS
- I spent 224.46 DEC = 20.14 SPS
This season, I have three main goals:
- Reach the Diamond III league in Modern Format
- Reach the Gold II league in Frontier Format
- Play at least one tournament
I haven't played in a tournament for a long time and I would like to start playing in this game mode again, partly because new and positive rules have recently been introduced in tournaments and I want to see the impact of these rules on this game mode.
I conclude this post by showing a battle in which I used Olivia of the Brook, level 5, for the first time.
In the battle, which you can see by clicking on the next link, I had 39 mana available and the battle rules were: Need for Speed, Tis but Scratches, and Target Practice.
When the battle rule is Target Practice, it is important to carefully position cards with magical attacks and cards with ranged attacks.
For example, I placed Olivia of the Brook in fifth position to protect her and put Janni Rebel in fourth position.
Due to the Target Practice battle rule, Janni Rebel was the card most attacked by the opponent's magic attack and ranged attack cards, and I chose Janni Rebel because she has a lot of health points.
My strategy worked and I won the battle.
Olivia of the Brook started the battle with 5 abilities and ended the battle still alive with 8 abilities and a melee attack of 5 points.
My new season in the Modern Format has started well with 4 battles played and 3 wins, but I still have many battles to play.

I miei risultati nella stagione 167 + I miei obiettivi nella stagione 168
Su Splinterlands il tempo è scandito dalle stagioni che hanno una durata di circa 15 giorni.
Da poche ore è finita la stagione 167 ed è iniziata la stagione 168 che terminerà tra 15 giorni e 15 ore.
In questo post condivido l'analisi dei risultati e delle ricompense che ho ottenuto giocando nella stagione 167.
All'inizio della stagione 167 avevo fissato due obiettivi:
- arrivare almeno nella lega Diamond III nel Modern Format
- giocare stabilmente nelle leghe Gold del Frontier Format
Ho raggiunto a metà i miei obiettivi di inizio stagione perchè nel Frontier Format ho concluso la stagione nella lega Gold III nella quale ho giocato per tutta la stagione = obiettivo raggiunto!
Nel Modern Format ho concluso la stagione nella lega Gold I con 2600 punti di rating e a 200 punti di rating di distanza dalla lega Diamond III = obiettivo non raggiunto!
Tra Modern Format e Frontier Format ho giocato in totale 629 battaglie nella stagione 167.
Il Frontier Format e il Modern Format sono i miei formati preferiti nel Ranked Play e
Nel Modern Format mi sono "arenato" nella lega Gold I facendo passi in avanti e passi indietro senza avvicinarmi molto alla lega Diamond III.
Sono comunque contento di essere arrivato al 21° posto nella Modern Format Gold leaderboard che mi ha permesso di ricevere 50K GLINT come premio di fine stagione.
Sono molto interessato ai GLINT perchè, dopo aver completato l'upgrade delle carte reward rebellion soulbound comuni e rare, mi piacerebbe completare anche l'upgrade delle carte epiche.
Oggi ho speso 112500 GLINT per acquistare 15 EPIC DRAW.
Nelle prossime immagini puoi vedere le carte che ho trovato.
Grazie alle carte che ho trovato negli epic draws ho potuto fare un upgrade molto interessante e che penso mi sarà molto utile in battaglia.
Oggi ho fatto l'upgrade del livello di Olivia of the Brook: level 4 -> level 5
Olivia of the Brook è una carta che mi piace molto e che uso spesso in battaglia e adesso che ha acquisito un punto di attacco da mischia in più la utilizzerò ancora di più!
Ho fatto dei passi in avanti nell'upgrade di tutte le carte reward epiche ma non ho ancora carte epiche di massimo livello anche se sono molto vicino a completare gli upgrade di:
- Thanalorian Blade: mi mancano 2 copie per il massimo livello
- Kha'zi Conjurer: mi mancano 3 copie per il massimo livello

Per quanto riguarda le ricompense di gioco, nella stagione 167 ho guadagnato in totale 849.52 SPS.

Ma i due evocatori di massimo livello che ho noleggiato hanno migliorato di molto i miei risultati nel Modern Format e di conseguenza anche i guadagni in SPS.
Quindi il mio bilancio stagionale totale è stato positivo perchè:
- ho guadagnato 849.52 SPS
- ho speso 224.46 DEC = 20.14 SPS
Nella stagione in corso i miei nuovi obiettivi stagionali saranno principalmente tre:
- arrivare nella lega Diamond nel Modern Format
- arrivare nella lega Gold II nel Frontier Format
- giocare almeno un torneo
Non gioco un torneo da molto tempo e vorrei ricominciare a giocare in questa modalità di gioco anche perchè di recente sono state introdotte nuove e positive regole nei tornei e voglio verificare l'impatto di queste regole su questa modalità di gioco.
Concludo questo post mostrando una battaglia in cui ho utilizzato per la prima volta Olivia of the Brook di livello 5.
Nella battaglia che puoi vedere cliccando sul prossimo link avevo 39 mana disponibili e le regole di battaglie erano: Need for Speed, Tis but Schratches e Target Practice.
Quando la regola di battaglia è Target Practice è importante posizionare con molta attenzione le carte con attacco magico e le carte con attacco dalla distanza.
Ad esempio io ho posizionato Olivia of the Brook in quinta posizione per proteggerla e ho messo Janni Rebel in quarta posizione.
Per effetto della regola di battaglia Target Practice è stata proprio Janni Rebel la carta più attaccata dalle carte avversarie con attacco magico e con attacco ranged e ho scelto Janni Rebel perchè ha molti punti vita.
La mia strategia ha funzionato e ho vinto la battaglia.
Olivia of the Brook ha iniziato la battaglia con 5 abilità e ha terminato la battaglia ancora in vita con 8 abilità e un attacco da mischia di 5 punti.
La mia nuova stagione nel Modern Format è iniziata bene con 4 battaglie giocate e 3 vittorie ma ho ancora molte battaglie da giocare.

I hope you have enough time to get all of your epic reward cards to max level. They are so strong and useful. This was an odd reward set because the epic cards are so much better than the legendary.

That’s definitely worth doing! I’ve come back to tournaments myself, and with the right setup for your deck you can always earn extra SPS just by playing the 11 battles of the first round.
