The Splinterlands ecosystem is expanding because along with the famous Trading Card Game Hive based playable for more than 5 years there will soon be two more playable games:

• Soulkeep
• Genesis League Goals

The playable version of Soulkeep is scheduled to be released before August 1, 2023, at which time the "Age Of The Phoenix" development phase will end (May 24 - Aug 1)

Tomorrow July 18, 2023 is scheduled to be the soft launching of the closed beta version of Genesis League Goals that will be playable by community members who have purchased 100+ packs.

The soft launch will last one week and by the end of July Genesis League Goals will be playable by everyone.

I participated in both Soulkeep and Genesis League Goals presales during which I purchased:

167 Nightmare packs = 167 Soulkeep packs.
110 GMLSPA packs = 110 Genesis League Goals packs.

With 110 GMLSPA packs purchased during the presale I will be able to try the Closed Beta version of Genesis League Goals and I will also try to publish a post with my personal impressions and considerations.

Closed this parenthesis on the two new Splinterlands games in development that I am very interested in today I share the results of my first season of Splinterlands in which I played only in the Modern Format.

In the past I almost always played in the Ranked Battles of the Wild Format because I have many Beta cards in my collection that I could not have used in the ranked battles of the Modern Format.

I am a Splinterlands player since October 18, 2019 and until now I have always played manually without using bots because I have always liked playing Splinterlands and because I have always considered bots a big problem for the future of my favorite blockchain game.

In season number 114 (June 30, 2023 - July 15, 2023) I have chosen to make the definitive switch from Wild Format to Modern Format because:

• the Modern Format will be the only format where anti-bots measures will be introduced and thus will be the most fun Format to play and will be the oasis of real players like me who enjoy playing on Splinterlands!
• I want to be ready in the advanced Modern Format leagues when the anti-bots measures are introduced!

My first season in Modern Format: Results and Considerations

In January 2023 I had done a test: for two seasons I had played the same number of battles in the Wild Format and the Modern Format.

At the end of that test I had chosen to continue playing in the Wild Format because, although I had achieved similar game results between the two formats, I had gained more SPS tokens in the Wild Format.

After that test, I continued to increase the battle strength of my card collection by focusing primarily on cards that could be used in the Modern Format, and today I am happy to record results that are very different from the test I had taken in January 2023.

The season number 113 was the last season I played in the Wild Format.
I finished season 113 in the Gold II league of the Wild Format with the following results:

• rating: 2388
• rank: 658
• Battles: 271
• Wins: 127
• win rate: 46%

In season 114 I started in the Bronze III league of the Modern Format and finished the season in the Diamond III league with the following results:

• rating: 3082
• rank: 646
• Battles: 369
• Wins: 207
• win rate: 60%

In the last season in the Modern Format, I played a larger number of battles than in the previous season and got a significantly higher Winrate: +9.23%.

My gain in SPS tokens I obtained from won battles also improved, which more than doubled compared to the previous season: 176.03 SPS vs 96.3 SPS.

This increase is also partly due to the introduction of the requisite staked SPS that replaced the collection power requirement.

The number of chests and the value of the assets I found inside also increased.

Unfortunately, I didn't find any legendary soulbound cards which are the cards that I consider most useful in battle and would love to have in my collection and take to the highest level but I am still glad to have taken steps toward upgrading Soulbound cards.

With the soulbound cards I found in my end-of-season reward chests, I was able to level up only one card:

• Ferox Defender: level 5 -> level 6

Ferox Defender is a card that I rarely use in battle because it is a card that is not able to attack from the first position and I have cards with better stats to use in the first position but at level 6 with the Protect and Repair abilities it can become a good choice in battles with precise battle rules.
For example when a battle has MELEE MAYHEM or SUPER SNEAK battle rules Ferox Defend can be used in the middle positions to protect cards without armor points (Protect ability) and/or to increase the protection of cards that have armor points but are in the most attacked positions.

My first season in Modern Format proved the goodness of my choice to abandon Wild Format and focus completely on Modern Format because I improved my game results and because I also improved the total value of the rewards I received.

I used the useful site SplinterTracker to quickly review the battles I have lost in my last 50 battles played and immediately noticed that:

• I am very competitive in High Mana Battles even in Diamond leagues where I often lined up cards below the highest level.
• I have more difficulty in battles with low mana available

For this reason in the coming days I will focus on buying/upgrading cards that have a mana cost less than or equal to 4 points and that can increase my battle strength in Low Mana Battles and hopefully allow me to increase my winrate this season.

I am also glad to have seen that VRUZ and OSHUR COSTANTIA were the cards that contributed the most to my battle victories (Source: SplinterTracker - based on last 50 battles) because they were two high priority purchase objectives that I had chosen and shared in my previous posts and they were the last two purchase objectives that I completed.

With season 114 archived, it is time to think only about season 115 in which I will try to achieve my game goal: reach at least the Diamond I league.

In season 115 I have not yet started playing but will now start from the Gold II league of the Mondern Format with a rating of 2350 points and a Boost x11.2.

I continue to set growth goals on Splinterlands, continue to increase the battle strength of my card collection, and look forward with great excitement to the introduction of anti-bots measures in the Modern Format, which I think will be a big and important step forward for the entire Splinterlands ecosystem...

La mia prima stagione giocata solo nel Modern Format: risultati e considerazioni

L'ecosistema di Splinterlands è in espansione perchè insieme al famoso Trading Card Game Hive based giocabile da più di 5 anni ci saranno presto altri due giochi giocabili:

• Soulkeep
• Genesis League Goals

Il rilascio della versione giocabile di Soulkeep è previsto entro il 1 agosto 2023, data in cui terminerà la fase di sviluppo "Age Of The Phoenix" (May 24 - Aug 1)

Domani 18 luglio 2023 è previsto il soft launching della versione closed beta di Genesis League Goals che sarà giocabile dai membri della community che hanno acquistato 100+ packs.

Il soft launch durerà una settimana e entro la fine del mese di luglio Genesis League Goals sarà giocabile da tutti.

Io ho partecipate ad entrambe le presales di Soulkeep e di Genesis League Goals durante le quali ho acquistato:

Chiusa questa parentesi sui due nuovi giochi in fase di sviluppo targati Splinterlands a cui sono molto interessato oggi condivido i risultati della mia prima stagione di Splinterlands in cui ho giocato solo nel Modern Format.

In passato ho quasi sempre giocato nelle Ranked Battles del Wild Format perchè nella mia collezione ho molte carte Beta che non avrei potuto utilizzare nelle ranked battles del Modern Format.

Sono un giocatore di Splinterlands dal 18 ottobre 2019 e fino ad oggi ho sempre giocato manualmente senza mai utilizzare i bots perchè mi sono sempre divertito a giocare a Splinterlands e perchè ho sempre considerato i bots un grande problema per il futuro del mio gioco blockchain preferito.

Nella stagione numero 114 (30 giugno 2023 - 15 luglio 2023) ho scelto di fare il definitivo passaggio dal Wild Format al Modern Format perchè:

• il Modern Format sarà l'unico formato in cui saranno introdotte le misure anti-bots e quindi sarà il Formato più divertente da giocare e sarà l'oasi dei giocatori reali come me che si divertono a giocare su Splinterlands!
• voglio trovarmi pronto nelle leghe avanzate del Modern Format quando le misure anti-bots saranno introdotte!

La mia prima stagione nel Modern Format: Risultati e Considerazioni

Nel mese di gennaio 2023 avevo fatto un test: per due stagioni ho giocato lo stesso numero di battaglie nel Wild Format e nel Modern Format.

Alla fine di quel test avevo scelto di continuare a giocare nel Wild Format perchè, anche se avevo ottenuto risultati di gioco simili tra i due formati, avevo ottenuto un guandagno in token SPS maggiore nel Wild Format.

Dopo quel test ho continuato ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte focalizzandomi soprattutto sulle carte utilizzabili nel Modern Format e oggi sono contento di registrare dei risultati molto diversi dal test che avevo effettuato a gennaio 2023.

La stagione numero 113 è stata l'ultima stagione in cui ho giocato nel Wild Format.
Ho concluso la stagione 113 nella lega Gold II del Wild Format con i seguenti risultati:

• rating: 2388
• rank: 658
• Battles: 271
• Wins: 127
• win rate: 46%

Nella stagione 114 sono partito dalla lega Bronze III del Modern Format e ho concluso la stagione nella lega Diamond III con i seguenti risultati:

• rating: 3082
• rank: 646
• Battles: 369
• Wins: 207
• win rate: 60%

Nell'ultima stagione nel Modern Format ho giocato un numero maggiore di battaglie rispetto alla precendete stagione e ho ottenuto un Winrate decisamente più alto: +9.23%.

E' migliorato anche il mio guadagno in token SPS che ho ottenuto dalle battaglie vinte che è più che raddoppiato rispetto alla stagione precedente: 176.03 SPS vs 96.3 SPS.

Questo aumento è dovuto in parte anche all'introduzione del requisito SPS staked che ha sostituito il requisito collection power.

E' aumentato anche il numero di forzieri e il valore degli assets che ho trovato all'interno.

Purtroppo non ho trovato carte soulbound leggendarie che sono le carte che considero più utili in battaglia e che mi piacerebbe avere nella mia collezione e portare al massimo livello ma sono comunque contento di aver fatto dei passi in avanti verso l'upgrade delle carte Soulbound.

Con le carte soulbound che ho trovato nei forzieri della mia ricompensa di fine stagione sono riuscito ad aumentare il livello di una sola carta:

• Ferox Defender: livello 5 -> livello 6

Ferox Defender è una carta che uso raramente in battaglia perchè è una carta che non è in grado di attaccare dalla prima posizione e ho carte con statistiche migliori da utilizzare in prima posizione ma al livello 6 con le abilità Protect e Repair può diventare una valida scelta nelle battaglie con precise regole di battaglia.
Ad esempio quando una battaglia ha le regole di battaglia MELEE MAYHEM o SUPER SNEAK Ferox Defendere può essere utilizzata nelle posizioni centrali per proteggere le carte senza punti armatura (Protect ability) e/o per aumentare la protezione delle carte che hanno punti armatura ma si trovano nelle posizioni più attaccate.

La mia prima stagione nel Modern Format ha dimostrato la bontà della mia scelta di abbandonare il Wild Format e focalizzarmi completamente sul Modern Format perchè ho migliorato i risultati di gioco e perchè ho migliorato anche il valore totale delle ricompense che ho ricevuto.

Ho utilizzato l'utile sito SplinterTracker per rivedere velocemente le battaglie che ho perso nelle mie ultime 50 battaglie giocate e ho subito notato che:

• sono molto competitivo nelle High Mana Battles anche nelle leghe Diamond dove spesso ho schierato carte di livello inferiore al massimo livello.
• ho più difficoltà nelle battaglia con pochi mana disponibili

Per questo motivo nei prossimi giorni mi focalizzerò sull'acquisto/upgrade delle carte che hanno un costo in mana inferiore o uguale a 4 punti e che potranno aumentare la mia forza in battaglia nelle Low Mana Battles e che spero potranno permettermi di aumentare il mio winrate nella stagione in corso.

Sono anche contento di aver notato che VRUZ e OSHUR COSTANTIA sono state le carte che hanno contribuito maggiormente alle mie vittorie in battaglia (Source: SplinterTracker - based on last 50 battles) perchè erano due obiettivi di acquisto a priorità alta che avevo scelto e condiviso nei miei precedenti post e sono stati gli ultimi due obiettivi di acquisto che ho completato.

Archiviata la stagione 114 è arrivato il momento di pensare solo alla stagione 115 nella quale cercherò di raggiungere il mio obiettivo di gioco: raggiungere almeno la lega Diamante I.

Nella stagione 115 non ho ancora inziato a giocare ma inizierò adesso dalla lega Gold II del Mondern Format con un punteggio di rating di 2350 punti e un Boost x11.2.

Io continuo a pormi obiettivi di crescita su Splinterlands, continuo ad aumentare la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte e aspetto con molta eccitazione l'introduzione delle misure anti-bots nel Modern Format che secondo me sarà un grande e un importante passo in avanti per tutto l'ecosistema di Splinterlands...
