Moon Karts: Recent News + My Game Activity, Results and Rewards in Season 18 + Focus on COLONY and SCRIPT Market Value (ENG/ITA)

Moon Karts: Recent News + My Game Activity, Results and Rewards in Season 18
+ Focus on COLONY and SCRIPT Market Value (March 5, 2025 - March 14, 2025)
In the last week I have reduced my posting and interaction activity on https://hive.io/ because I have had many work and family commitments.
Due to my limited free time I have also reduced my gaming activity in my favorite Hive-based games among which is Moon Karts.
It's 12 days since my last post about Moon Karts and today I return to write about this game by sharing recent news, my gaming activity and a focus on COLONY and SCRIPT Market Value.
Moonkarts is a Hive-based arcade race game with nice graphics and good gameplay that is part of the games featured on the Arcade Colony platform.

Since the date of my last post (March 3, 2025) to date there have been some interesting updates.
In fact on March 5, 2025 the new build was released which introduced the changes you can read about in the next screenshot I took from the Arcade Colony server tech-updates channel.
I especially like the introduction of the Matchmaking Penalty System because some players used to play with two accounts and quit the game in the pre-race phase when a third player joined.
This penalty system should solve this problem
On Moon Karts the competition between players is structured in seasons and each season is 10 days long.
At the time I am writing this post, season 19 is in progress, which started just under 6 days ago and will end in 5 days and 20 hours.
In the current season I only started playing today but I will try to play at least 50 races before the end of the season.
In the previous season, season 18, I had started very well by playing a good number of races during the first days of the season but then due to my work commitments I had to stop my playing activity.
I could only check my results in season 18 today.
Today I went to the Notification section to make the Claim of the season 18 rewards** and to see my final season results.
At the beginning of season 17 I had set a goal of finishing at least in the top 8 of both season leaderboards.
In season 18 my final results were:
- 14th place in the Ranked Leaderboard - Reward: 6557 COLONY
- 10th place in the Orbital Leaderboard - Reward: 2164 COLONY
I have played fewer races compared to season 17 and obviously my game results and game rewards have deteriorated but I am still happy to be able to add more than 8K COLONY to my stake.
Based on the market value (Highest Bid) of the COLONY tokens and based on the market value of the HIVE token, I calculated the value in SWAP.HIVE and dollars of the seasonal reward I received at the end of season 18.
Adding up the rewards from the two leaderboards, I received a total seasonal reward of 8721 COLONY = 11.51 SWAP.HIVE = 2.84$
In the last 6 seasons (60 days) I have earned 45053 COLONY = 59.47 SWAP.HIVE = $14.69
On Moon Karts there is a mechanism similar to the SPS boost mechanism on Splinterlands and based on the amount of COLONY tokens staked you can have a Bonus Multiplier.
Individual race rewards and seasonal rewards depend on and are influenced by COLONY staked and that is why I want to accumulate as much COLONY staked as possible.
At the beginning of season 18 I had 83340.21 COLONY staked.
Thanks to the rewards I earned from playing in season 17 and thanks to the COLONY tokens I earned from daily airdrop as SPS stakeholder and GLX stakeholder today I was able to add +8948.08 COLONY (8830.67 COLONY + 117.41 COLONY) to my stake.
Today I also converted some Hive engine tokens into COLONY tokens.
Thanks to these conversions, I accumulated 2123.96 COLONY in my Hive engine wallet.
I transferred these tokens from my Hive engine wallet to my in-game wallet to increase my COLONY stake even more.
Today I staked all the liquid COLONY tokens I had and now I have 93412.25 COLONY staked.
I am less than 7K COLONY away from reaching 100K COLONY staked!
In the next image you can see my KART preset.
Compared to the beginning of season 18, I have changed my Driver.
Before I had SPARK while now I have LUNA.
I preferred LUNA to SPARK because LUNA has better Speed and Acceleration statistics than SPARK.
In the current season I will continue to play and continue to have fun but I will also try to improve my game results and also my rewards.
I like to monitor the market value of the tokens of the games I play and/or have invested in, and I will conclude this post with a small focus on the market value of COLONY tokens and SCRIPT tokens.
The last time I monitored the market value of the COLONY token and the SCRIPT token was March 3, 2025.
In the next two images you can see the changes in value in HIVE and dollars recorded by the COLONY token and the SCRIPT token over a 11-day time interval (March 3, 2025 - March 14, 2025)

Moon Karts: Notizie Recenti, la mia attività di gioco e i miei progressi + i miei risultati nella stagione 18
Nell'ultima settimana ho ridotto la mia attività di pubblicazione e di interazione su Hive perchè ho avuto molti impegni lavorativi e familiari.
Per il poco tempo libero che ho avuto a disposizione ho anche ridotto la mia attività di gioco nei miei Hive-based games preferiti tra cui c'è Moon Karts.
Sono passati 12 giorni dal mio ultimo post su Moon Karts e oggi ritorno a scrivere su questo gioco condividendo le recenti novità, la mia attività di gioco e i miei progressi.
Moonkarts è un Hive-based arcade race game che fa parte dei giochi presenti sulla piattaforma Arcade Colony.

Dalla data del mio ultimo post (3 marzo 2025) ad oggi ci sono stati degli aggiornamenti interessanti perchè il 5 marzo 2025 è stata rilasciata la nuova build che ha introdotto le modifiche che puoi leggere nel prossimo screenshot che ho preso dal canale tech-updates del server di Arcade Colony.
In particolare mi piace l'introduzione del Matchmaking Penalty System perchè alcuni giocatori giocavano con due accounts e abbandonavano il gioco nella fase di pre-gara quando un terzo giocatore si aggiungeva.
Su Moon Karts la competizione tra i giocatori è strutturata in stagioni e ogni stagione ha una durata di 10 giorni.
Nel momento in cui sto scrivendo questo post è in corso la stagione 19 che è iniziata da poco meno di 6 giorni e terminerà tra 5 giorni e 20 ore.
Nella stagione in corso ho iniziato a giocare solo oggi ma cercherò di giocare almeno 50 corse prima della fine della stagione.
Nella stagione precedente, la stagione 18, avevo iniziato molto bene giocando un buon numero di corse durante i primi giorni della stagione ma poi a causa dei miei impegni lavorativi ho dovuto interrompere la mia attività di gioco.
Ho potuto controllare i miei risultati nella stagione 18 solo oggi.
Oggi sono andato nella sezione Notification per fare il Claim delle ricompense della stagione 18 e per vedere i miei risultati stagionali finali.
Nella stagione 18 i miei risultati finali sono stati:
- 14° posto nella Ranked Leaderboard - Reward: 6557 COLONY
- 10° posto nella Orbital Leaderboard - Reward: 2164 COLONY
Ho giocato meno rispetto alla stagione 17 e ovviamente i miei risultati di gioco e le mie ricompense di gioco sono peggiorate ma sono comunque contento di poter aggiungere più di 8K COLONY al mio stake.
In base al valore di mercato (Highest Bid) dei token COLONY e in base al valore di mercato del token HIVE ho calcolato il valore in SWAP.HIVE e in dollari della ricompensa stagionale che ho ricevuto alla fine della stagione 18.
Sommando le ricompense delle due leaderboards ho ricevuto una ricompensa stagionale totale di 8721 COLONY = 11.51 SWAP.HIVE = 2.84$

Su Moon Karts c'è un meccanismo simile al meccanismo SPS boost su Splinterlands e in base al quantitativo di token COLONY staked è possibile avere un Bonus Multiplier.
Le ricompense per le singole gare e le ricompense stagionali dipendono e sono influenzate dai COLONY staked ed è per questo motivo che voglio accumulare il maggior quantitativo di COLONY staked possibile.
All'inizio della stagione 18 avevo 83340.21 COLONY staked.
Grazie alle ricompense che ho guadagnato giocando nella stagione 17 e grazie ai token COLONY che ho guadagnato dall'airdrop giornaliero come SPS stakeholder e GLX stakeholder oggi ho potuto aggiungere +8948.08 COLONY (8830.67 COLONY + 117.41 COLONY) al mio stake.
Oggi ho anche convertito degli Hive engine tokens in token COLONY.

Ho trasferito questi token dal mio Hive engine wallet al mio in-game wallet per aumentare il mio COLONY stake ancora di più.
Oggi ho messo in staking tutti i token COLONY liquidi che avevo e adesso ho 93412.25 COLONY staked.
Mi mancano meno di 7K COLONY per raggiungere i 100K COLONY staked!

Rispetto all'inizio della stagione 18 ho cambiato il mio Driver.

Mi piace monitorare il valore di mercato dei token dei giochi in cui gioco e/o in cui ho investito e concludo questo post con un piccolo focus sul valore di mercato dei token COLONY e dei token SCRIPT.
L'ultima volta che ho monitorato il valore di mercato del token COLONY e del token SCRIPT era il 3 marzo 2025.

Si sto notando che in ogni stagione l' attesa per giocare diminuisce e questo è un aspetto positivo. Per il numero dei giocatori non è facile vederlo e sarebbe utile una sezione classiche della stagione precedente come su splinterlands

I heard that matchmaking in Moon Karts was quite rough. Do you have to wait a long time to get matched and does it fail? That was what I got from someone else playing.
In the early seasons, searching for players could take up to hours, but season after season the search for players has become easier and easier even though it still needs to be improved.
For the last few runs I played I waited 2-3 seconds to find a player.
