It's about three months since my last post about Holozing but that doesn't mean that I've lost interest on this project because it's exactly the opposite because I consider Holozing a very interesting project and the only reason I write few contents about Holozing in my Hive blog is because it's a project in development and therefore not yet playable.

If you don't know Holozing you should know that it is a Hive-based project of a Pokemon-style RPG game (Web3 enabled monster catching, training, and battling game).

At the current stage of development of Holozing, the assets that can be bought and sold are two:

  • the ZING tokens (Holozing's native tokens that will have many in-game use cases.
  • the Alpha Vials the starter packs of Holozing that are currently not openable and will contain almost everything you need to play (except the Healers).

There is a recent and interesting news regarding Alpha Vials because on April 19, 2025, Holozing founder @acidyo announced a change in the distribution of ZING tokens for ALPHA VIALS.

In fact, on December 13, 2025, the daily distribution of ZING tokens to ALPHA VIALS holders was 200K ZING tokens per day.

Starting April 19, 2025, the daily distribution of ZING tokens to ALPHA VIALS holders has been increased by 2.5x.

Those who read my posts know that I like to do calculations and in my previous posts about Holozing (post 1, post 2) I calculated for 1 Alpha Vials purchased:

  • the daily gain in ZING, in SWAP.HIVE and in dollars
  • the APR based on the market value (Highest Bid) of the ZING token
  • the break-even point calculation
  • the APR and the break-even point based on market values of the ZING token other than the current one.

Today, after 129 days, I made the same calculations to see what has changed since the last time I made these calculations (Dec. 27, 2024) and to see the effects of the recent change to the amount of ZING distributed to ALPHA VIALS holders.

Today May 5, 2025:

  • 1 ZING = 0.00210810 SWAP.HIVE (Highest Bid Value)
  • 1 ZING = 0.00217900 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask Value)

The last time I monitored the market value of ZING tokens in one of my posts was February 6, 2025.

In the time interval February 6, 2024 - May 5, 2025:

  • HIVE: -0.019$ = -16.50%
  • ZING (Highest Bid Value): -0.0002372$ = -31.21%
  • ZING (Lowest Ask Value): -0.0002461$ = -31.29%

The sale of Holozing Alpha Vials began on October 19, 2024, and to date 3708 Alpha Vials have been sold.

In the next table you can see the APR calculation and the Break Even Point calculation for 1 Alpha Vial.

The variations in the time interval December 27, 2024 - May 5, 2025 (129 days) are:

  • Alpha Vials Sold: 2610 -> 3708 = +1098
  • ZING per day: 76.62 -> 134.84 = +58.22
  • APR: 206.21% -> 128.65% = -77.56%
  • BREAK EVEN POINT: 176.99 days -> 283.69 days

Compared to December 27, 2024, the APR of 1 ALPHA VIAL has decreased but among the distribution methods it has the highest APR:

  • Alpha Vial: APR 128.65%
  • Liquidity Pool: APR 50.41%
  • HP Delegation: APR 8.61%
  • ZING Staking: APR 4.76%

In the next table you can see how the daily reward in ZING tokens for 1 Alpha Vial, 5 Alpha Vials, and 10 Alpha Vials purchased might change as the number of Alpha Vials sold increases.

But what would happen to the APR and Breakeven Point calculation if the market value of the ZING token increases or decreases in the future?

I calculated the percentage value of the APR and the number of days it would take to reach the breakeven point in the case the ZING token were to acquire some market values within a range [$0.00005-$0.002].

IMPORTANT NOTE: The current distribution of 500K ZING per day based on Alpha Vials sold is temporary because when Alpha Vials can be opened, the distribution of ZING tokens will be based only on the items contained in the Alpha Vials based on their rarity.

Holozing: Focus sul token ZING e sugli Alpha Vials!

Sono passati circa tre mesi dal mio ultimo post su Holozing ma questo non vuol dire che ho perso interesse su questo progetto perchè è esattamente il contrario perchè considero Holozing un progetto molto interessante e l'unico motivo per cui scrivo pochi contenuti su Holozing nel mio Hive blog è perchè è un progetto in fase di sviluppo e quindi non ancora giocabile.

Se non conosci Holozing devi sapere che è un progetto Hive-based di un gioco RPG stile Pokemon (Web3 enabled monster catching, training, and battling game).

Nell'attuale fase di sviluppo di Holozing gli assets acquistabili e vendibili sono due:

  • i ZING tokens (i token nativi di Holozing che avranno molti casi d'uso in-game.
  • gli Alpha Vials gli starter packs di Holozing che al momento non sono apribili e conterranno quasi tutto il necessario per giocare (tranne gli Healers).

C'è una recente e interessante novità che riguarda gli Alpha Vials perchè il 19 aprile 2025 il fondatore di Holozing, @acidyo, ha annunciato un cambio nella distribuzione dei token ZING proprio per gli ALPHA VIALS.

Infatti il 13 dicembre 2025 la distribuzione giornaliera dei token ZING ai possessori degli ALPHA VIALS era di 200K token ZING al giorno.

A partire dal 19 aprile 2025 la distribuzione giornaliera dei token ZING ai possessori degli ALPHA VIALS è stata incrementata del 2.5x.

Chi legge i miei post sa bene che mi piace fare calcoli e nei miei precedenti post su Holozing ho calcolato per 1 Alpha Vials acquistato:

  • il guadagno giornaliero in ZING, in SWAP.HIVE e in dollari
  • l'APR in base al valore di mercato (Highest Bid) del token ZING
  • il calcolo del punto di pareggio
  • l'APR e il punto di pareggio in base a valori di mercato del token ZING diversi da quello attuale.

Oggi, dopo 129 giorni, ho effettuato gli stessi calcoli per vedere cosa è cambiato rispetto all'ultima volta che ho fatto questi calcoli (27 dicembre 2024) e per vedere gli effetti della recente modifica al quantitativo di ZING distribuito ai possessori degli ALPHA VIALS.

Oggi 5 maggio 2025:

  • 1 ZING = 0.00210810 SWAP.HIVE (Highest Bid Value)
  • 1 ZING = 0.00217900 SWAP.HIVE (Lowest Ask Value)

L'ultima volta che ho monitorato il valore di mercato dei token ZING in un mio post era il 6 febbraio 2025.

Nell'intervallo di tempo 6 febbraio 2024 - 5 maggio 2025:

  • HIVE: -0.019$ = -16.50%

Nella prossima tabella puoi invece vedere come potrebbe cambiare la ricompensa giornaliera in token ZING per 1 Alpha Vial, 5 Alpha Vials e 10 Alpha Vials acquistati con l'aumentare degli Alpha Vials venduti.

Ma cosa succederebbe al calcolo dell'APR e del Punto di pareggio se il valore di mercato del token ZING aumenterà o diminuirà nel futuro?

Ho calcolato il valore percentuale dell'APR e il numero di giorni necessari a raggiungere il punto di pareggio nel caso in cui il token ZING dovesse acquisire alcuni valori di mercato compresi in un range [0.00005$ - 0.002$].

NOTA IMPORTANTE: La distribuzione attuale di 500K ZING al giorno in base agli Alpha Vials venduti è temporanea perchè quando sarà possibile aprire gli Alpha Vials la distribuzione dei token ZING si baserà solo sugli elementi contenuti negli Alpha Vials in base alla loro rarità.

Thanks for the breakdown!

It's important to note before some people maybe hurry to buy vials for the APR, that the collection reward split will be adjusted once vials can be opened.

Right now a small portion of collection rewards goes to achievements while most go to alpha vials, once opening of vials is enabled it'll take a large chunk of the collection rewards as well.

I'm just leaving this comment here so people don't think, other than if we decide to lower/increase the daily zing to collection rewards, that the APR's are going to remain for long.

It does however give early buyers of vials, whatever you deem to be early, extra allocation of zing and in the end you may still be able to either sell the vial back on the market to someone else or open it and sell items within the vial. But of course whether those are going to hold any value or not compared to the initial cost is anyone's guess.

Yeah I saw it, thanks.

We may adjust the slider gradually when opening becomes available, i.e. not fully lowering zing rewards for closed vials in favor of opened items+creatures. Just mentioning it here as I think I've said we'd move fully towards it in the past (where you got that info from probably) that we've kind of changed on that idea a bit since.

It looks like the vials are probably one of the better investments in Holozing right now, and it will continue to have some value as things get launched.

Ho letto il commento di acydio, ma comunque mi sono buttato ed ho comprato una seconda Vial usando gli ZING e SWAP.HIVE che avevo nella LP: in fondo il mio obiettivo era averne almeno due e questo mi sembrava un buon momento per fare questo acquisto.
