Hola a todos es esta hermosa comunidad. Las preguntas de esta semana en el concurso convocado por @jane1289 casualmente están muy ajustadas a acontecimientos recientes en mi vida y por eso quisiera aprovechar la oportunidad para compartirlos aquí.

En cuanto a decisiones importantes creo que este año a estado bastante cargado de ellas, han sido mucho cambios en la vida en cuanto a crecimiento personal y prosperidad, pero siento que la más importante de ellas fue hace justo 10 días, cuando mi novio y yo comenzamos a vivir juntos. Anteriormente dividíamos nuestro tiempo entre las casas de nuestros padres, para pasar tiempo con ambas familias. Pero la vida nos dio la oportunidad de poder ir a vivir ahora solos, en una casa con muy buenas condiciones y en la misma ciudad. La decisión fue difícil, enfrentarnos a las responsabilidades que implica un hogar, ambos compaginar trabajo y casa, gestionar el dinero y además cuidar al perro que nos dejaron. Pero los que viven solos podrán confirmarme que la satisfacción de verte ser suficiente no tiene precio. Poder ir construyendo un hogar poco a poco, a tu gusto y manera, es una experiencia muy enriquecedora.

En cuanto al tema de los sueños cumplidos, he de decir que la joven yo se trazó demasiadas metas, algunas muy soñadoras. De niña soñaba con ser universitaria, trabajar en una oficina haciendo cosas que no tenía claridad que pudieran ser, y además andar por el mundo en lugares bonitos y vestida elegante. Los niños a veces no podemos comprender los trabajos reales que tienen los adultos pero podemos imaginarnos de traje y corbata, siendo reconocidos por los demás. Hoy, a pesar de llevar a penas dos años de graduada, creo q mi pequeña yo pudiera estar orgullosa, pues soy ingeniera, curso una maestría, hago diseños bastante complejos en REVIT todo el día en la oficina, he ido a varios eventos donde presentamos proyectos de investigación y pronto podré publicar un artículo en una revista de ingeniería de mi país. Ahh, y muy importante, aunque no sea muy lujoso tengo algún que otro conjunto de bleiser y pantalón elegante, tal y como lo soñaba de niña. Así que aunque me falta mucho por vivir y hacer, creo que al menos estoy bien encaminada.

Hello everyone in this beautiful community. This week’s questions in the contest organized by @jane1289 happen to be very closely related to recent events in my life, and that’s why I’d like to take the opportunity to share them here.

As for important decisions, I think this year has been quite full of them. There have been many changes in my life regarding personal growth and prosperity, but I feel that the most important one happened just 10 days ago, when my boyfriend and I started living together. Before, we divided our time between our parents’ homes so we could spend time with both families. But life gave us the opportunity to live on our own now, in a house with very good conditions and in the same city. The decision was difficult—facing all the responsibilities that come with having a home, both of us balancing work and house duties, managing money, and also taking care of the dog we were left with. But those who live on their own can confirm that the satisfaction of seeing yourself be enough has no price. Being able to build a home little by little, in your own way and to your own liking, is a very enriching experience.Regarding the topic of dreams come true, I must say that my younger self set too many goals, some of them very dreamy. As a child, I dreamed of going to university, working in an office doing things I didn’t really understand were possible, and also traveling the world in beautiful places while dressed elegantly. As children, we sometimes can’t grasp the real jobs adults have, but we can imagine ourselves in suits and ties, being recognized by others.

Today, despite having only been graduated for two years, I think my younger self would be proud, because I am an engineer, I’m pursuing a master’s degree, I create fairly complex designs in REVIT all day at the office, I’ve attended several events where we present research projects, and soon I’ll be able to publish an article in an engineering journal in my country. Oh, and very importantly, even though they’re not very luxurious, I do have a few blazer-and-elegant-pants outfits, just like I dreamed of as a child.

So even though I still have much to live and accomplish, I think at least I’m on the right path.
