Went out for the first time with my son for his Pedia visit for a second dose of the Rotavirus vaccine.

As my son was done with the second dose of the Penta Vaccine last month, I scheduled him for the Rotavirus vaccine the other week. This vaccine is unavailable in the local health center, so I don't have a choice but to avail it through his pediatrician.

All my sister-in-laws are working now, and I had no one to accompany or drive us to the hospital. For the past months, I have been grateful for all their support, so this time, I no longer want to trouble them. However, my other sister-in-law booked us an appointment since she is working there.

Still, my brother-in-law drove us to the terminal where I could catch a ride.

I intentionally chose to ride in a modern jeepney for convenience. The fare was a little bit higher than the regular jeep's, but it was more spacious and had air conditioning, like a mini-bus.

Caleb didn't cry during the entire travel as he played with our backpack and his shoelaces or peeked at the window. Before leaving the house, I was confident he wouldn't, so I wasn't worried at all. He was just heavy to carry, and it was tiring. Bringing his stroller wasn't applicable since we only commute. There is no grab car here yet.

As we arrived at the hospital, my sister-in-law took a break to accommodate us. His Pedia isn't around yet, so we stayed for a while in one of the Doctor's offices (in the reception area.)

I told her to take a photo since we seldom go out. See how much he had grown? Also, I am happy to see that I look okay now compared to the previous months. Slowly getting back in shape.

The wait wasn't that long, as finally, the Doctor arrived. After a few questions of mine, he administered the oral vaccine. And guess what? He didn't charge me a professional fee, and that cost $17!** Why? It was because my sister-in-law was his colleague. Yes, I saved, but I felt shy already. He had already given me a discount and free sessions, so it felt like that was too much!

Don't let him see you next time, I told my sister-in-law. Perhaps when the husband arrives, we will buy something for him as a token of appreciation.

Wait, I'll punch lunch break to accompany you to lunch.

I appreciate her as she knew I would go home without eating if she didn't!

While waiting took this snap of Belen; few days before Christmas.

We decided to eat at Chowking as it was the nearest fast food chain to their work, though I was craving Pizza 😂. Yep, since @tengolotodo sent me photos with fries!

With us is Caleb's soon-to-be godmother. They just met and saw how comfortable he was lying on her shoulder! He even sleeps.

She was kind enough to hold him so I could eat well.

Afterward, they accompanied me to the terminal and waited until I was settled before leaving.

This time, since the vaccine was administered orally, Caleb didn't have a fever. Or perhaps it's the brand.

All was well until evening, yet I woke up the next day with terrible body pain 😂. I should go out more often with my son so I would get used to it!
