Went out for my baby's last dose of Vaccines: Rotavirus, PCV.
It's been four long days since I last wrote a blog. I told myself to be more active this year, yet some days aren't unfavorable. Last week, I was occupied with many things that needed to be accomplished.
ThursdayI did some household chores. Yes, I do daily, but I added washing my son's clothes this time. I am using a washing machine, but since most of his clothing is white ; it is more comfortable to wear for us living in a tropical country. I would soak it first and do a little hand wash so it won't look dirty white. Hanging it to dry takes more time than I wanted it to be arranged. Ah, I got that from my Mom.
Friday, he had a scheduled vaccine at our local health center. Last dose of pneumococcal conjugate vaccine - PCV> I was anticipating he might get fussy or have a fever but thankful he didn't. Seemed his body was well-adjusted. Yet, I prefer to focus the day on him just in case he feels discomfort.
Saturday, we went out to visit his Pediatrician at the same time as the last dose for Rotavirus.
Look how much he has grown. Giving up my job and being a full-time Mom wasn't easy. Yet, seeing him grow healthy feels like I made the right choice. Also, I felt better now. A month's vacation for the husband was indeed a great help. Having him by our side for a while healed me physically and emotionally. Snap this photo before leaving home.
Our appointment was at 10:30, but we arrived too early. My mother-in-law accompanied me this time as I couldn't do it alone. Last time, it was fine, just Caleb and I, but now he already weighs 9kgs. My Sister-in-law was at work, and I was too shy to ask if she could drive us.
Thankfully, the Doctor arrived on time.
Oh, you look like a year older and love that curly hair! His pedia says, and after a few inquiries, he started to administer the vaccine. Like during our previous visit, he didn't charge us his professional fee. Yet, I learned that he loves mangoes from our province. Mental note: I should send him some when I get home.
Supposedly, we plan to eat lunch at the nearest fast food, but unfortunately, it rains. Without a choice, even though I am starving, we go home. There are some local restaurants in our place anyway.
I was starving, thankful I had biscuits in my bag. Ate it while traveling.
Please drop me at the exact location of One Plate (the local resto) as I no longer have any energy. Told the conductor.
I ordered hastily, and it was served after a few minutes. Goodness, so it was only a piece of chicken wings? 🤣.
Mother's food was much better! At least there is a spaghetti, lol.

Thus, eating with an infant was very challenging. Look what Caleb's been doing. Such a naughty boy.
Yet do not underestimate the power of a hungry Mama; I survived 🤣.
My tummy was somehow satisfied, and we went home. Just minutes after reaching, the heavy rain fell. Still, we got our luck!

Did she cry during the vaccination? My little cousin cried a lot and started crying as soon as she found out she was going to be vaccinated. I think it is important to teach children that it is not a big pain and that the vaccine is very important for them.
He just cry when the syringe was injected.
Yet good the moment we stand up as it was done 😊.
His a brave one
