Not sure if it's the change of weather but my son got sick and so am I.
As I mentioned in my previous blog, my son Caleb had a runny nose and so I am. Since I had been giving him medicine, I am not worried at all but;
The next day, he started having a dry cough in the morning. At night, I started getting worse, with plem. He even puked twice, throwing up all the milk he drank while I was trying to put him to bed. I literally bathe with spoiled milk and I don't know how we could clean up. No choice, I woke up my mother in-law for help.
The rest of the night was sleepless. Both of us are coughing. It was like he was finally sleeping. My throat got itchy and the rest of history. Us wiping our nose and coughing side by side.
He is only 14 months old so I decided to go contact my sister in-law that was working at the hospital early the next day. Thankfully, even though it's a holiday his Pediatrician was on duty.
Our appointment was at 10:30 and we arrived early. It was only Caleb and I as I no longer wanted to trouble anyone.

We are the first patient but waited for a while since the Doctor was doing rounds. I was so tired carrying my son during the trip but he doesn't like to go to his Tita.
After a few minutes, we were called by the secretary, and the Pedia greeted him. It's been months since the last time we visited and he noticed how my son grows. We had a conversation while talking and glad his cough wasn't that worse, just starting. He only prescribed me medicine.
Clarithromycin, 1.6 ml., twice a day and told me to continue giving Disudrin 3x a day.

He already told me that the taste was better so suggested adding a bit of honey. While preparing his medicine at home, I realized that it's an antibiotic and explained the dosage.
And the challenge as a Mom, how to ensure my son would drink it? The taste even with honey was still bitter.
Plus, I needed to shake it well since it's suspended, blend some honey and Caleb was already wailing in his crib . I can't let him cry too much because he would throw up.
Ahhh, life! I was just fueled by coffee for days but at least I let my body rest. Tired and sick. When Caleb was sleeping, I chose not to do anything but lay beside him. Sometimes, I feel asleep, other times.
Yeah not even cleaning but I did sweep the floor.
As of now, he is feeling better, and his medication is until Saturday. That explains why I managed to write a quick update.

Buti ok na siya. LAlong naging active😁😌
Medyo okay naman, kaso kapag naubo nasuka pa din 🥺.
That's really the challenge. I was just thankful that my daughter wasn't picky with medicines or food. She'll open her mouth wide right away and complain after she swallowed it. Haha! That's where our patience gets tested as a Mom, but of course we can't give up on them.
Hope he would too once he grew a little bit older.
As of now, it takes a lot of effort and I am so tired 🤣.
Not to mention a lot of laundry as he would puke on our bed 🤣😆.
Kape kape na lng
Be in full recovery 🙏🙏🙏 you got this momma! 💪
