My son unluckily caught a virus and got sick. Thankfully, an exhausting week was finally over.

It was last week when before going to sleep, my son was so energetic.

He kept on climbing up and down the couch, walking and even trying to run. His grandma sometimes cursed him accidentally because she thought he was gonna fall down. He was totally fine. Thus, when we were sleeping I noticed that his body temperature started to rise. However, since he was sleeping soundly, I didn't bother to give him medicine.

Though he had a fever the next day, still he was totally fine. The energy was there and kept on running around, no changes in the daily activity. Still, I gave him medicine. There is nothing to worry, so I thought.

Not until, during his naptime at noon when he started to get fussy, and seemed to have difficulty in breathing. I was observing how his tummy and chest would rise. As a Mom , that was the time I knew something was wrong. Then, he started to cough.

I contacted his Pediatrician but unfortunately, the clinic will be the next day.

His fever was on and off, but not reaching 39, so somehow I was calm.

Still okay before and after the check up. I was somehow relieved that there is no need to undergo a lab test and most importantly I need to be admitted. The Pedia prescribed him medicine for cough and antibiotics for anti-bacterial.

Good thing I could somehow rely on my in-laws as they are the one who purchased the medicine.

I thought everything will be fine since I already gave him medicine but nope. Our night became too long as his temperature rose, almost reaching 40 . He couldn't even have his milk as he would cough and the sounds deep, like whooping. I could tell that he was struggling with the plem and then followed by throwing up. Seeing him getting stiff and crying makes me want to cry too.

It was even harder as it was only the two of us. Yes, my mother in-law was in the next room as it was still different.

My back hurt so much from carrying him all night and I didn't even have some sleep. He won't get down and just wanted to be held all day.

This was for almost five days, no proper sleep. food and rest. We even moved to the living room one night and MIL saw us.

I felt pity seeing you two and at the same time feeling useless as I couldn't help. So I just prayed that Caleb would be better. She told me the next day.

My son won't go to anyone and only wants me.

Good thing he started to get better last Wednesday but I was also recuperating. I was deadly tired not to mention the pile of laundry since he kept on throwing up. Beddings, our clothes that we kept on changing.

As of now he is okay, could sleep, eat and drink milk thus his medication is until on Saturday. Somehow, I felt better after having slept, not maybe eight hours but enough to have rest.

As I scrolled Facebook today, I saw several friends posting that their kids are also sick. So it seemed it was really in seasoned and unluckily my son also catched the virus.

Good thing he's okay now. Taking care of Caleb without proper rest must’ve been so draining. Being a mom is tough, especially when your little one is unwell. Take care of yourself too, Ate Lhes!

Glad to know he is okay a lot better now. Its really scary kapag kids ang may sakit na. They are too small and like getting sick is roo much for them. Anyways make sure to rest din kapag may chance ka.

Good thing he feels better now. It's painful seeing the little kids in pain and they don't know how to make themselves better. Godbless and be safe also to you ma'am.
