I went out to buy food and what I got for Php500; $8.50.

Most of the time, though I barely have time, I still prefer cooking my own food. Budget wise it's friendly and also I am sure it's clean and healthy. Still, there are times I also feel too lazy and instead of cramming I want to chill. This is one of those times, where I thought of buying roasted chicken.

Currently the construction of one of my sister in-law's houses is ongoing, which is why it was muddy in our front yard. Yes, her house was beside us and with the pile of sand Caleb and I couldn't pass with him in the stroller. However I am thankful as they are aware of and would carry his stroller and sometimes I would just leave it in the garage next to us. At night I would find it on our porch, so helpful.

There are three leading brands selling near my place, chooks, baliwag and andoks.) I like the last but it was the farthest. Also, there are stairs and it wasn't accessible for us. No choice but I settled with Baliwag.
It's been a while since the last time I purchased and didn't expect one whole chicken to cost Php 410 or $6.95 (58.99 Philippine peso for 1$).

To validate my spending I convince myself that not everyday I buy letchon right?

They are also selling crispy pork chop and pork bagnet but thinking of my wrist pain better avoid greasy foods.

There are local restaurants and bakeries but business starts at eleven. As much as I wanted to dine, it was still early so I decided to go home.

We passed by at the local fruit stand so I bought watermelon. Caleb loves eating fruits and it costs P105, ($2) and that is it. Php500 was all spent, crazy how the value depleted over the years.

Sometimes when I am at the market, I keep on thinking the prices seem like there is none to buy. Yet, we also need to eat nutritious food to be healthy. Health is wealth.

Ehhhh, 410 for a whole chicken? Peri malaki naman siguro no? I'm curious how much is the kilo of chicken in there. Anyways, deserve mo yan! Kaya gora lang. And now I also want some letchon. Masarap yong sa Andoks kaso ang liit naman kasi 🥹🥹
Grabe ang bilis talaga tumaas ng presyo ngayon 😅 Pero tama ka minsan deserve din natin mag relax at bumili na lang ng masarap na food.. Yung Baliwag chicken mukhang juicy ah sakto pa may watermelon perfect combo for a chill meal...

Sa amin parang once in a blue moon na lamang kami makakain ng whole chicken from local stores, mahal na kasi ang bilihin pero sulit naman. Enjoy eating po. By the way, in terms of chicken from local stores I love Chooks to Go.
Whoah, that's indeed very expensive. I think Chooks-to-go costs Php 380 for whole chicken and I think they're a lot already. But seeing yours, it's much more, crazy really how inflation affects the prices. 🫠
WOW! letchon and atsara are perfect pair that mean I need extra rice. Baliwag chicken are known for their yummy chicken.
