Finding comfort near my home, Chai Cafe would be my place to go.
As I had episodes the last time and was emotionally not feeling well, I decided to go out for a walk with my son. Gladly, the sun was hiding in the gray clouds, giving us shade. At first, I planned to go to the 7/11 convenience store for an ice cream but then passed by here.
Chai Cafe,
The plan to dine here was long and overdue because of the business hours. The operation time was conflicted every time I was out; it was still closed. Yet, it was different today.
Without having a second thought, we walked in.
The ambiance
It was just a tiny café, with minimalist design enough to cater few customers.
The moment you entered, several chairs, a small table, and a long couch were available.
This is near the roadside.
Another set of chairs, tables, and a couch was near the counter.
This is where I choose to sit with Caleb, my son.
The counter.
There are only a few designs and a mirror to make the area look spacious.
I like this and would like to add it to our list at home. A mental note is to start ordering once the husband's vacation is finalized.
Isn't the light cute and fashionable? 😄
For customer service, they had a wife, and a QR code was displayed. Just scan it if you want to connect.

Bored? They have a few boring games here so you can play with friends.
The Food
I am not starving, as I just ate snacks at home. Yet, I wanted something cold, as the weather was so hot, and lasagna, as I'd been craving.
There are several beverage choices, but I prefer my favorite chava chips, which have less caffeine.

I don't know, as I've been drinking coffee since I was a child, but having a cup in the afternoon keeps me awake at night.
Love this initiative of the owner of using wooden plates to prevent the table from getting wet.

The utensils are disposable but made of bamboo, which makes them more durable than plastic.
The lasagna didn't meet my expectations, but it wasn't that bad either. Guessing from the taste, I know it wasn't freshly cooked. I worked in the food industry for years, so I am familiar with how it works.
At least the garlic bread was delicious.
Eating and caring for my son in a different environment changes my mood. It may not considered me time as look what Caleb was doing.

The couch was a great help as there was a space for him, but also not as he would lie down, crawl, and even want to drop his shoes on the floor.
The rain started to pour in the middle of our meal, and I was like, why? Does the sky feel the same as mine?
Good thing I didn't sit near the window, or else seeing the raindrops at the window would trigger my emotions more. So, I didn't mind and tried to divert my mind. The café helps as I feel comfortable. Seemed like this would be my place to go whenever I was having a hormones fluctuations .

Thank you
A pity that the lasagna wasn't so great, because if well-made it's really delicious! But altogehter it seems you spent a nice time in the Chai Cafe.
I really appreciate all efforts like this one to avoid plastics. 👍
