DIY souvenirs for my son Christening, with a touch of mother's love.

As I wrote a few months ago, I am finding a souvenir for my little one's Christening. I successfully purchased the scented candles of my choice, yet the scent wasn't that fragrance. It was too strong for me, and it irritated my nostrils, or perhaps just me, because of my allergic rhinitis.

I assumed this would also be for all the Godparents, but then I wasn't contented. So, I scrolled up again online.

It was more expensive, but the scent was perfect. There are a lot of choices. Since all of his Godparents are working, I was thinking this would be perfect for them as they are resting, trying to have that peace of mind.

Definitely, with feminine and masculine scents. It was also made with natural soy wax, and burning could last for ten hours. Available scents are;

• Balsam and cedar
• Midsummer nights
• Lemon and lavender
• Cucumber mint cooler
• Pink sands
• Macintosh

I purchase per bundle so that it would be cheaper.

Now, my next problem was, shall I give this like this? No packaging at all? I don't have any experience with this, I don't even have an artistic side of me.

Thanks to the previous souvenir I bought gave me the idea to place it in plastic PVC and then add personalized stickers.

However, since I purchased it all online, the PVC was too big, and it looked empty. The part of me doesn't like to waste; I just added shredded papers.

The Preparations.

I hated being late to being in a rush, so I started creating what was on my mind.

One, two, three—I don't know if there were more—finally, I was settled.

Here are the steps;

• Mixed the shredded papers as the theme was blue. Yet, candles had different colors. It needed to match.

• Add shredded papers as the base. Then the candles.

I like it so it would be easy for me to check if I had put an ample amount each and added in those with few.

• After, place the personalized stickers.

Though some of them are husbands' childhood friends, I know them personally, having met and bonded with them a couple of times. Choosing which one for them was not challenging.

• The last step is to add ribbons. This was the challenging part for me, aside from cutting the stickers. I even watch YouTube videos 😆.

It would have been nicer if I had added rhinestones, but since there was no more time, I just made do with what I had.

Since I had a lot of ribbons, I decided also to add other souvenirs aside from stickers.

The husband says, why do I trouble myself making souvenirs if I can order?

Yes, I can, and it may be cheaper, but I wanted to make it personally. Why? I don't know if we could still celebrate Christening. Having a child again was not in my plan after experiencing the hardships. That is why I wanted to be hands-on.
