A short walk after work as I travelled HOME .
Kinda late for a week but let me share with you the following photos I took the last time I went home. For the past month, I only visited our house if there was a long weekend or I had some important matters.
Thus, this day, after work, I chose to travel back home as for the Gender reveal. past five in the afternoon I am slowly walking going to the Bus terminal. Yes, just taking it slow as increasing speed is tiring.
Since the terminal was located at one parking area of the mall, as expected you will be passing in a busy street. I have two options, *One walk much farther at the pedestrian or take the stairs of the overpass to cross.
For unknown reasons, the escalator isn't working. Not sure if it was only me who felt dizzy climbing to it. I mean, it kinda feels weird to walk on when it's not moving at all.
Since it's the weekend, only a few cars and work are on the street. (That is from my workplace.) On weekdays, the roads are congested and sidewalks are full of people walking in a hurry to arrive at work on time.
It was an ordinary weekend so I am not expecting a long que of passengers. If there is, it's the time to enjoy the perks of being pregnant. Always in the priority line.
While sitting on the bus, I snapped this picture and sent it to my husband. This is to let him know how long my travel time is to be expected. That is based on the traffic situation.
Good thing the bus is still waiting for the passengers as I had a sudden call of nature. The comfort room is just a few steps away! Thanks a lot or surely that would be a problem. Would you believe me if I say I went down the bus three times to use the CR? . One of my struggles now is if I am outside or travelling.
Foods are waving but thinking I will be needing to drink water after was enough reason to walk straight back to the bus. Drinking water would be a problem later .
Wait, I almost forgot about this Time Sculpture Statue I passed by.
Some Facts about it.
It is an art of Filipino American Jefre Manuel Figueras and measures 12 meters tall. facing the EDSA (Epifanio de los Santos Avenue) a longest road that connects the main City in Manila. Could be considered as a Main road.
This symbolizes the people living in the cities. How time runs fast and important. That is why the man is looking at his watch. As a reminder to make use of your time. Source
Finally we left the bus terminal and somehow felt relieved that the road was not that congested. Hopefully, I will be arriving home after three long hours.
We might still be in the city but there are some areas that look green with those trees planted beside the road. Kudos to the local government for protecting nature.
After a few minutes of travel, the sky is starting to turn dark as the sun sets. Lights are starting to illuminate the buildings and billboards.
Ah, seeing these huge billboards of local celebrities' reminds me that I am still in the city! Added those tall buildings. I admit it was exciting to see when I was new here and young. Yet now, I wanted countryside vibes, aging!
Since I was sitting in the front, I enjoyed watching twilight. As the sky turns orange when the sun sets and gradually it becomes dark. What I can see now are the lights from the travelling vehicles.
Public and private with one goal; reach their destinations safely.
I can say, I was lucky enough not to get caught in a traffic jam. The travel was somehow manageable and didn't feel discomfort all throughout the journey.
