Cycling Community Weekly Milage Update - A "Big" Surprise, Something New!

Hello there Friends, Happy Monday evening - and thank you for your visit!

This is my weekly milage update #74 in the #cycling community.
And a Surprise! I didn't do any miles on the Green bike last week, but...
I did put around 25 miles on "The Beast", actually I call it "Brutus"!

And well, I will be honest I never wanted to get one of these before, after a few miles - "it's the only bike I want"!
So it went like this.... I ordered a different bike, 2 times. I got 2 refunds... And that's OK really. It would have been very much like my old Black bike but a little larger frame size. Well after it didn't work I started looking around at what else I could possibly want to ride. The Black bike has been down awhile and I was getting "itchy" to get on something - so other than 4" tires this bike checked all the boxes so I went with it, and I am "so happy" I did!
So a breakdown...
Went from 24 volts to 48 volts
From 350 watts to 1000 watts
From 7.5 amps to 14.5 amps

If you read that right, "this thing is a Rocket"! And... The controller is "programmable " - he he he, I have done that - on the second day!

And now a word to this who may find these "Fat Tire" bikes a bit intimidating...
Well first, if your less than 5' 6", 1.67 meters - the bike will be too big for you. You can try it - but your feet won't reach the ground. I am 5' 10" , 1.778 meters with the seat almost all the way down (see photos) my feet do not touch the ground flat.

That out of the way - this is a "Blast"! It handles much better than I thought, much! The grip is phenomenal! And rolls easy over anything you would try.
And since I weigh (today) 108 lbs, 48.98 kilos - and it has 66 nm torque, 40 foot lbs it takes off! To suffice, it said "not recommended for under 16 or over 60"... I said "Yeah, that's the one I want"!
And although I will not be counting any miles on this bike this year (already over 25 - bad weather would have been more) I "will" count them next year. I am stomping on pedals at 28-30 mph, 35 kph I think I can count that.
So I could go on and on as this is the first thing like this I have had, I say this.
"If" you are considering a new bike, "don't" count these out. Ride one if you get the chance. Just the fact that the handlebars (and seat) are "not bone jarring" is already amazing!

But now to keep the numbers straight,

So last week,
The Black bike:

This Monday at 1079.5 miles / 1737.28 kilometers

An increase of,
0.0 miles / 0.0 kilometers,
At this point, all numbers are only for "bookmarking" purposes - till end of year.

And,

The Green bike:

This Monday at 266.04 miles / 428.14 kilometers

An increase of,
0.0 miles / 0.0 kilometers,
I hope I get in a few miles on this one this week!

So this puts the weekly total for "both bikes" at 0.0 miles / 0.0 kilometers (total) for the week overall.

This puts the total for 2025 is currently at,
1345.54 miles / 2165.43 kilometers so far this year!

So at least ending the year on a good note!
And next year "WILL" be better!
And that was it for last week,
Until then, and..
I want to thank you again for your visit, and have a Blessed upcoming week!
✨🙏🏼✨

In my country these bikes are called 'fatbikes' but really they don't have much in common with cycling, it's all automated 😅
