It's a different kind of brain washing

I think in this era, there's no one who isn't using social media, we all have accounts on different social media like Facebook, Twitter (x) or Snapchat or many other social media application. Although all of us aren't active on social media but we all have accounts whether we use it for scrolling or active there with friends.

It doesn't matter you're active there or not but it matters that you're using social media and it has impact on your mind too in various way's. Sometimes it has positive impact on us and sometimes it has negative impact on us.

Social media and my life!!!

I remember when I was a teen girl, although my dad bought a touch screen mobile for me but he strictly warn me to not use Facebook at that time. I was allowed to use any application although I can play games too but I wasn't allowed to use Facebook.

As i was a teen girl, i don't know why he did this to me because he never put restrictions on me as I can outside with friends but he doesn't allow mevto use Facebook. Sometimes I want to create a Facebook account but then i leave it aside that if my dad know about it he hurt's that I'm not his obedient child.

I get use to myself to play games on mobile phone and I cross my 20,s and then I created my Facebook account and i though there's a different world here which is totally different from our lives. It wasn't just the waste of time but it also does brain washing of us.

How it impacts on our life??

From my experience, i noticed people aren't like that which they show their self on social media as everyone has a mask on profile picture but being an adolescent person we can't differentiate it.

Just like a three year child cries for a toy car because his friend has the same car, i noticed that when you're at your adolescent age you also get the things which your friend has, doesn't matter how but you want to get those things. And if you can't get it or you don't have it you can easily feel inferior complex.

Similarly, your skin is totally different from those Snapchat filters but you actually love to take selfies in those filters rather than real camera.

Although we've freedom of speech on social media but still I see many times when your own words which you used on social media put you in danger and there's no way to escape from it.

Adolescence is that stage of our life in which we've to struggle hard for a better future but nowadays our youngsters are busy on social media in playing fake relationship with opposite gender and waste their precious time and at the end mostly gets heart breaks.

Final thought's!!!

In my point of view, we shouldn't use much social media and if we use it then we shouldn't be serious about it as we've to remember who we are and what's our purpose and we should focus to shape ourselves.
